Most fairies are naturally taller than humans.
There are two types of fairies: magic-based and flight-based. Magic fae are more skilled at magic while flight fae are more adept at flying. (Note: These are NOT subspecies!)
Fairy magic can be any color!
Eyes are the same color as magic. Only in rare circumstances does eye color differ.
Magic is usually geared towards offense, defense, or utility. Some fairies can specialize in more than one!
Magic-based ears: long, pointed, stick up, notch in ear
Flight-based ears: thicker, pointed, stick out to sides, no notch
All fairies have a signature ability. They can be as mundane as making magical drinks to as strong as actual mind control. No two fairies share the same special ability.
Fairies have bug-like wings with designs that reflect their special ability.
They also have small, beetle-like claws on their fingertips!
AND they have beetle forms! Also called "pure" forms.
Fairies have wands with unique designs specific to them. These wands can also transform into a signature weapon, like a bat, gun, etc.
Fairy blood is always the same color as their magic. Also referred to as "liquid magic", it is slightly thicker than human blood. It's also sparkly.
Fairies are born with two pairs of arms. As they grow up, these arms become vestigial. They lose all mobility, turn their magic color, develop small ridges, and are referred to as "nubs".
Fairy ears also serve as an indicator of the fairy's current magic level.
Fairies have weird ass feet with two toes and large claws.
