My 9yo: Why do people in power have to use big, fancy words like inauguration? Me: well, that big, fancy word has been the word for this particular event for a long time. 😅 Mind you, this is the same kid who’s described her hair as voluminous. #homeschool

In an attempt to outsource all of the reading curriculum I was making for my kids, I ended up still giving myself a lot of things to read, laminate, cut, and velcro to prep this curriculum. Good job, me. 😅 #homeschool #secularhomeschool

I don’t know why they call it cat calling. They should call it piha calling because these vociferous birds, aptly named the “screaming piha,” sure do know how to claim your attention. And the hearing in at least one of your ears. Our aquarium field trip was illuminating. #fieldtrip #homeschool
