An morning visitor from last April when I still lived in NC, just passing through after some overnight rain, nibbling the occasional plant 🌱🐢

A box turtle sitting amongst the clover has paused to look at me while I look at it. Pretty yellow markings on its dark shell, the head is not entirely in the shell. White flowers are visible around the turtle.

Had previously heard some Spring Peepers, but this is my 1st official frog sighting of the year! Bullfrogs 🐸 at the park with @sffbookwyrm.bsky.social #herps #frogfriday
