Same, it seems to be the general vibe for today 😅

I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a bus and I have no clue why! Like what is going on today 🤣

Spent some quality time with @leaht.codes in NYC ☺️ Delicious Malaysian food, Italian sweets, and some bookstore browsing ☺️🙌

I'm in a book club for it! Which is why I kept picking it back up. But now I've finally gotten into it

130

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 11/01/2026

This is like my 4th time trying to read this book and the farthest I've made it, so I fully understand 😂 And I want to read that one! I might buy it soon

Probably “Designing Data Intensive Applications”! But I have a bunch of other programming books on my Kindle, so I might switch around

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 11/01/2026

Happy Sunday! Going to a football watch party today. Do you think they'll notice if I read a programming book the whole time?

Ok I'm really enjoying working through “How to Prove It” so far 📝 I didn't realize just how much I missed solving math problems and taking notes

“How to Prove It” third edition is opened up on top of a pink blanket. To the right of it is a notebook with math notes written out.

1190

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

That's a good idea! Like all of my courses for my math BS were proof-based. I want to dive back into number theory and linear algebra proofs, but figured I'd relearn how to write proofs first Writing proofs really is like learning a new language! And takes just as much practice

010

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

Let's go!🔥 I'm pretty sure I used the second edition of this book in college, so I'm excited to work through this edition

110

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

I'll do better next time I buy pencils 😂

110

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

I'm pretty sure that the second edition of this book is what I used in college as my first introduction to writing proofs, so it should be beginner friendly!

000

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

Yeah, just for fun! I haven't written proofs since college, so I want to relearn how to write them

120

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

Because I need more math in my life

You should! I built out a little calculus quiz app using React, Inertia.js, and Laravel recently so I could quiz myself on some calc concepts 😂

020

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 10/01/2026

You should! It doesn't help that in school you have the added pressure of deadlines and knowing you have to get a certain grade to pass Also, teachers really make or break how you do in a course. And thank you!

010

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 09/01/2026

I'm about the same! I've worked on calculus a little bit since graduating, but there's still a lot that I've forgotten. So I'm excited to get into it again

010

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 09/01/2026

I loved it too! I just haven't touched truth tables or proofs since graduating, so I want to get back into it

110

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 09/01/2026

Hahah, that’s fair 😂

000

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 09/01/2026

I went with the same one I used back in college, and I ordered a newer version of the discrete math book I used for good measure

I finally caved and ordered a calculus textbook for fun

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 09/01/2026

Yeah, I would definitely wait then! I just went ahead and bought mine a few months ago since I'm in a book club that's reading it

Another year and I'm still trying to finish Designing Data Intensive Applications 😅

I feel like I've started so many google courses on coursera but never finished them 😅 Which one were you working on?

000

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 05/01/2026

Thank you! My goal is to finish at least one Udemy course 😂

000

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 05/01/2026

Update: I made it up to module 4 out of 15 for the Udemy course! There's hope yet that I'll finish it before the end of the year

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 05/01/2026

Happy Sunday! I started working through a Udemy course that I bought back in 2024. Will 2026 finally be the year that I complete my first Udemy course? 😂

The spoils from my bookstore outing earlier! I'm in the mood for thriller books again, so let me know if you have any recs! Or just general book recs 🫶

Ok I think it's back now!

010

✨Leah✨ @leaht.codes · 02/01/2026

So weird because it was just working 😅 I'll recheck it in a little bit to see if it’s back, but if not then I'll repost it somewhere else

First blog post of the year is live! It’s an in-depth retro of my 2025. A year that was filled with many wins, but also many life-altering moments. It’s hard sharing struggles on social media, but I really leaned into vulnerability in my post. I hope it resonates ♥️ tinyurl.com/38mzdh2y

We launched Laravel Wrapped today! I had so much fun working on this project. It was a huge effort by the whole team and I'm proud of what we accomplished ✨ Make sure to check out and share your Wrapped if you got one (check your email)!

Laravel Wrapped personalized OG card showing off that I shipped 133 times on Cloud this year, had a deployment streak of 5 days, 1.1K nightwatch events, and was in the top 15% percentile
