I have art up for #ArtForTheAnimals at Howard's Art Supplies in #HagerstownMD! There's lots of artists' work up for silent auction, and all proceeds benefit the Washington County Humane Society, so check it out before Saturday night when it wraps up! #MixedMedia #Art #Fundraiser #SaveTheCritters

Tbh was really apprehensive going into the painting phase, painting with transparent oils over a perfectly good collage. Quite chuffed with the result though, to toot my horn a bit.
The red-pink is actually super vivid in person because the pink is florescent. Wanted to make sure it popped as much as possible since I knew it was going to be behind glass, and the lighting might not be great depending on where it was hung on the salon-style wall.

Oh yeah, did I mention I got accepted into the juried portion of the Plein Aire Art Fest in Hagerstown? Have an oil painting hanging in the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts now! (temporarily)

Tried to balance the colors in the photograph of the painting, but they might've come out a bit warm. In any case I'm pretty chuffed for this being my first real oil painting. Turned out okay despite my lackluster perspective skills and being rained on.

I don't remember giving it that title lol.

I'm pleased to announce this oil pastel piece I started at #Artopia titled "Chippy Triumphant" sold that very day! Thanks to the owners at UR Nuts for graciously hosting me and allowing me to portray their mascot in a "somewhat" unconventional way. ^_^; #URNuts #FrederickMD #OilPastel #PeanutOfDoom

You can just draw a horse. You can draw a horse any time you want. And if you put a safety tip on there and share it, you've drawn a horse and done a public health. It's that simple. We can't draw a horse right now, but we can do the next best thing - mash stock photos together with passion.

A herd of wild horses chasing a flying smoke alarm on the plains. The text reads: Horses need you. We all need you. Put a fresh battery in your smoke alarm.

Had a great time at #ARTOPIA in Frederick, just hangin' out on the street makin' art as a plein-air artist for the festival. Decided to warm up with a little architecture study. #TraditionalArt #OilPastel #Pastels #Architecture #PlusARandomMechanicalPencilIHadInMyBag

I was going for that gray corner, though the shadow of the tree quickly fled before I really got much pastel on the board. Lots of people stopped by to check on what I was makin'. Some people on the rough road to recovery, some people lonely, others just chatty or curious. All of them were delightful to talk to. I felt like the easel just kinda planted me in place as a fixture of the street, a harmless curiosity that made people at ease. It was frankly really great. Probably the least socially anxious I've felt around so many people in a long time.

Keep in mind the chipmunk over there, they make an appearance later.

The corner that caught my eye. I really had to point out what I was pastelling to people, so apparently I may've got some stuff way wrong, but it was a warmup.
The owner of the business I was assigned to be in front of came by and checked on how I was doing. I explained I was doing a warmup and would dive into a larger piece soon. "Well, if you felt like making one that featured the store, I might buy it!"
I mean, I was just out there having fun making art on the street, but I always enjoy the vote of confidence in my work. It feels good to make things people value.

Sorry I got my paw in the photo, I was doing my best to hold it without covering anything up lol.

Wacom recently asked me to talk about why I make queer comics, and given there are multiple bills right now floating around in congress that are effectively "we will kill your livelihood if we get a sniff of queer" I had some pretty strong, simply feelings to relay.

Hoppy Easter! Enjoy some non-canonical hijinks between two D&D characters from two different games I’ve played. #Harengon #Kobold #D&D #5e #BardVsCleric #Easter #Shenanigans #2D #DigitalArt

I love having inside jokes that not even other players know about, like the stark difference in alignments between these two characters. I still imagine these two would be begrudging friends though.
