I don't know why, but in my head, this sign is narrated by Werner Herzog.

My potting bench is basically done! It just needs some kind of finish. Needs to be durable and stand up to dirt and moisture (although I will be keeping indoors in this enclosed porch). I think I'd also like some color—maybe a turquoise or green? I'm thinking […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]
An unfinished wooden work bench with a slat bottom shelf and a work surface made of three panels. One of the three panels is lifted off to reveal a plastic tub filled with potting soil. It sits in a room with gray-ish tile flooring and windows in the background.

I did NOT expect to find this plant in the Sonoran desert, much less growing behind a bus stop! This is a species of dodder, a parasitic plant. You can tell it’s dodder because it looks like spaghetti with white flowers growing on top of other plants. It makes […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

Potting bench is taking shape! Still needs slats for the shelf and table top. I’ll paint it or stain and finish it in the winter when it’s not 120° in this room. #woodworking
The frame of a potting bench made of pine 1x4s. It is missing slats for a bottom shelf and the table top. It sits in an enclosed porch with a pile of gardening stuff in the background.

From a wall of cartoons about karma in Hanoi. Remember what the Buddha said about writing malicious code.
On the left, an illustration of a man typing with the caption "cause: creating computer viruses that harm others" on the right, an illustration of that man kicking his computer and holding his keyboard above his head. Caption reads "effect: leads to madness and foolishness"

About a decade ago, I happened to be in Taipei with my mom at the same time as bunch of cool tea people. I don’t think my mom loved doing *only* tea things, but I have fond memories of having tea with @dearclarissa, Emilio Del Pozo of the Jade Leaf, Nicky Evers […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

Just going through my photos trying to free up space and here are a few of my favorite graffiti I've seen. #art #streetArt #graffiti
Graffiti of a grub with 4 bird wings and a crown. Above it reads "GRUB LORD 4EVR" and next to it, in pink (added later by someone else) it reads "Prase grub"Graffiti reading "worms" in purple on a white painted brick wall. The letters are probably 3 ft tall.Graffiti with words "UR INDA MATRIX" and a rudimentary sad face with devil horns below.Graffiti—line drawings of 2 cartoony frogs done with green spray paint. A larger one on the left is wearing a bowtie and has his little tongue out. A smaller one on the right is wearing a necktie. Both have goofy smiles. Above them it reads "frog".

In case you haven't seen this bullshit yet, the government shutdown banner on usda.gov sites is despicable misinformation: #TrumpShutdown #USpol
Screenshot of a usda.gov website with an announcement banner reading: "The Radical Left Democrats shut down the government. This government website will be updated periodically during the funding lapse for mission critical functions. President Trump has made it clear he wants to keep the government open and support those who feed, fuel, and clothe the American people."

I grew this enormous Tulsi plant with water mostly from air conditioner condensation. My makeshift drip irrigation system only works when there’s enough humidity for the AC to actually drain water 🤣.
