Views of the Rhode Island State House from up College Hill.

Beautiful mural I saw while walking up Dyer street (got a kick out of that name)

Fleur-de-Lys Studio, 7 Thomas Street, right across the street from First Baptist. Built in 1885 by a local artist. This is the home of Henry Wilcox in The Call of Cthulhu, and I think I see why Howard chose that house.

The First Baptist Meetinghouse, founded by Roger Williams in 1638, and the oldest Baptist church in America.

The Brick Schoolhouse, 24 Meeting Street. Initially a schoolhouse and a town meeting hall, it later served as a temporary home for Brown University and is currently the home of the Providence Preservation Society.

The Old State House, 150 Benefit Street. This is where Rhode Island declared its independence from Great Britain on May 4, 1776, two months before the other colonies. Mentioned in The Case of Charles Dexter Ward.

Stephen Harris House, 135 Benefit Street. This was the setting of The Shunned House.

Halsey House, 140 Prospect Street. This home was said to be haunted in Lovecraft's days, and this is where he set the Ward family in The Case of Charles Dexter Ward.

Prospect Terrace, the location of the Roger Williams Memorial and Urn Repository, and a frequent haunt of Lovecraft.

The Samuel Mumford House, 65 Prospect Street. The house itself was Lovecraft's last home, originally set next to the John Hay Library; it was moved to its current location in 1959. The address was the address of Robert Blake in The Haunter of the Dark.

Here are some other pics I took during my walk; it was thrilling to walk the same streets that Howard Lovecraft walked and try to imagine what it was like in his day. First, the HP Lovecraft Memorial plaque at the small memorial park on the campus of Brown University.

I spent Labor Day vacation day visiting #Providence and enjoying the beautiful city and architecture! My first stop was #WeirdProvidence bookstore, where I found some wonderful people to talk about weird and horror fiction. Then I took a walking tour of College Hill to see the sights!

Current read! An urban fantasy murder mystery set in an alternate 1920s Cairo where jinn and angels walk the streets, alchemical constructs are an everyday sight, and the old gods of Egypt are quietly worshipped. Found in a library book sale for a great deal! #booksky

I kinda expected Justice to be the top one, but I’m not sorry that Kindness won out.

Look up. Sunny Starscout and Jon Kent. Hope flying high in uncertain days.

Current book! I found this at a library book sale and it is a delight! Where else are you going to get Annabel Lee written as a lesbian forbidden love, The Purloined Letter set in a cyberpunk dystopia, or The Tell-Tale Heart redone as a political commentary? #booksky

One of my favorite parts of Pride events is seeing churches being openly out and supporting queers. It always warms my heart to see people of God genuinely reaching out to minorities instead of judging them.

I made this collage today during Concord #Pride at an art gallery event for display in the window. Never forget: we have made massive progress over the last several decades for a better world for everyone. It may feel like the Trump Administration is reversing a lot of that, but

Behold! My stuff! Just finished putting my #ArkhamHorror card game cards into binders (maybe I should've gotten a Staples membership) and wanted to show off my collection/nest egg. Maybe I'll be the cool uncle who gets to host game nights one day. #boardgames

When you buy so many pins, you need a new bag to put them all on. (Guess what my ships are lol) #Harmonycon2026 #HeartsandHooves

Took a while to decide what to make for perler art at #HarmonyCon, but I eventually decided on an Element that I believe we need a lot more of.

Just got confirmation from GM Berrow of what we all knew to be true: Daring Do is best pony. #Harmonycon2026

Everywhere you look, there are weirdos in costumes carting around plushies of talking horses. Ah, home. #Harmonycon2026

Bonus: the Christmas tree and lights in the Commons were still up.

Went to Boston to visit The Embrace for #MLKDay! I hope Martin and Coretta are looking down on us all and lending us their strength. Visiting the Science Museum was a bonus!

Good to see these old friends again. Now the question is, which one do I take to #Harmonycon to have GM Berrow sign? #MLP #DaringDo
