I didn't realise that there were some 2000AD themed Choose Your Own Adventure stories published as magazines in 1986. Only 5 issues published, think they're all on the Internet Archive. Tripped over them this week. Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diceman... Issue 1: archive.org/details/2000...

This has been thinking about all the great cutaway diagrams that used to appear in 2000AD. Often to be found on my bedroom wall. Someone should do a book of these.

Had to chuckle at para 125 in the judgement though. Yes, hard to imagine any difficulty in presenting people with Wikipedia pages that only contain content from verified users. I'm sure those random selection of paragraphs and edits will be very coherent.
One of Wikipedia’s primary concerns is
the requirement to enable users to choose only to encounter content from users whose
identity has been verified. I accept that this runs completely counter to Wikipedia’s
operating model (which has, on the evidence, been shown to be effective in promoting
freedom of expression whilst promoting a high quality of content). There may,
however, be ways to accommodate the requirement without causing undue damage to
Wikipedia’s operations. It may, for example, be possible to ensure that users who make
the requisite choice are only able to access pages where every editor who has
contributed to the live content on the page has verified their identity. It is not obvious
that this would be unduly difficult to achieve. It would mean that such users would only
be able to access a small subset of Wikipedia’s content, but that would be their free,
autonomous choice. It may well be that only very few people would make that choice,
and that might then raise a question as to the proportionality of the entire exercise

I bought the PS2 at the midnight launch here in Bath. Was v. excited to get the console. Ended up queueing for over an hour with my (very bored) wife to pick up my preorder. Ended up buying more games as I was waiting. Went home and was too tired to set it up so went to bed. Might as well waited!

The Three Laws of Digital
A digital may not task a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to do things poorly.

A digital must obey the prompts given it by human beings except where such prompts would conflict with the First Law.

A digital must protect its own existence, using cyber, as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I know this is hardly the point but I can't help but get caught up on how people use words, especially wrt tech. "Digital" seems to be some amorphous thing here like how people refer to "cyber". What's the venn diagram of digital, cyber and AI? Also implies that "digital" is a thing with agency.
Officials will be told to abide by a mantra that says: “No person’s substantive time should be spent on a task where digital or AI can do it better, quicker and to the same high quality and standard.”

Started a Slugblaster campaign this evening. We're playing online so I decided to use a Miro board as our virtual tabletop. Spent too long creating polaroids from the game art. Seems to work OK! Players are already using it as a mood board as we do our first run. #slugblaster #ttrpg
