If you call a leading African-American Democrat a "monkey" and claim your words are "inappropriate" but not racist let me assure you - you're racist. Such rancid discourse infecting every nook and cranny of the political spectrum.

Re-upping the work of expunging American products from my life. And please, folks: do not travel to the United States unless it's a family emergency. And let's get serious about dropping interprovincial trade barriers, especially alcohol.

Before getting too excited by Chinese EV's coming to Canada, please note that many (most?) have parts produced by coerced Uyghur labour - part of a cultural genocide that separates families into enforced labour and "re-education" camps, criminalizes faith, and includes forced sterilization.

The @uaw.org should take a page from Greenland's book. Collaboration is an ugly look for a union that cheers on Trump while it claims to stand for social justice (note: they're delusional if they think Trump will deliver union jobs).

Another case of what appears to be illegal detention and possibly torture by US border officials. Not surprised: this was telegraphed and celebrated during the election campaign. Many Americans chose actively - and passively- for this outcome.

On a more serious note, revisit Ramsay Cook (1967): "... instead of constantly deploring our lack of identity, we should attempt to understand and explain the regional, ethnic and class identities that we do have. It might just be that it is in these limited identities that ‘Canadianism’ is found."
