Salty butter is good to have when adventuring. You just never know when you'll catch a lovely fish and find fresh herbs nearby. Add the herbs to the butter and then add to the fish, then wrap the whole thing up in an edible leaf and you've got yourself a real meal.

There is a campfire. Next to the fire is a delicious fresh fish seasoned with butter, herbs and wrapped in a leaf. There are 4 slices of bread on the ground with the butter scraped out.

The smell, when it started wafting his way, was not the smell of food cooked over a campfire by twelve-year-olds in the woods. It was something else entirely: herb-bright and rich and deep, with something from the leaf itself adding a smoky green note underneath.
