My timber bamboo grove. Yes, it is invasive and though growing within a 3 ft metal shield it has escaped into nearby areas over the past 25 years. Requires vigilance and regular removal of straying culms, but I still love it! Beautiful rustling sound on a breezy day. #bamboo #naturephotography #PNW

Just discovered Oregon Grape growing in my backyard! I thought they were young holly trees until the bright yellow flowers bloomed this week. There are at least 4-5 of them growing in the same area, near a few holly trees along a fence line. #gardening #nativeplants #PNW #birdplanted #nature

I agree! This sign is on my neighborhood hardware store right now.Just a small old-fashioned kind of store where you can find almost any kind of missing part or tool and a clerk to help you find it. I love their ethical stand toward immigrants, even though they know it will cost them some customers.

This is Bella the day I brought her to her forever home. She was about 9 months old, all ribs and hip bones (only 37 lbs), but I'm a grandma so I knew I could fatten her up. She's now four and a half and weighs 75 lbs. Healthy, bright-eyed and energetic. Always joyful. Rescues are so grateful. 💙

"Reach for the bluesky, totem guy!" This is a 30' tall Empress tree trunk in my backyard, cut last year exactly as I wished by the tree removal crew. I even gave them a sketch and directed from the ground as they removed branches. I love it! Hoping to paint totem symbols on it this summer. 🌀⭐👁️⚡🔆♌☮️

Thanks for the info about the Norwegian WW2 resistance symbol. I live in Poulsbo, WA, which was founded by Norwegians. Since the first Trump protests began here some people have been wearing paperclips on clothing or on signs. We knew the basics of the story, but this detailed info is great!
