iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

LazureLazuli 🌊🐉 ~ Sea Dragon Vtuber @lazurelazuli.bsky.social · 11/05/2025

I rushed to put this on for golden week...😅 So... What do you think~? 😏

LazureLazuli 🌊🐉 ~ Sea Dragon Vtuber @lazurelazuli.bsky.social · 04/04/2025

I never said that I would give a pass to the other companies if that's your insinuation, nor am I only up in arms with just Nintendo about the digital only direction these companies are trying to go. I apologize if it came off that way. I hope my next post clarified it and I'm open to discussion 🥺🙏

I apologize if it comes off as me not caring enough, or me being against Nintendo specifically. I adore Nintendo. It's what I grew up with over playstation, Xbox, and pc. Hope these last few posts clear up any misunderstanding

I'm limited on characters, so I didn't go into full detail about my thoughts on the matter. Said what I wanted to say about Nintendo since Nintendo just revealed their system, and left out important information from their big direct. If people wanted to know my opinion on other systems, just ask

Is it nice that Nintendo still has a cartridge slot at all? Sure. Just like it's nice that my ps5 that I got from a local game store years after it came out still has a disc drive that's compatible with my ps4 games. That doesn't mean I have to support this digital only direction they're heading in

If you don't know my feelings on the other systems, like how I dislike Playstation, Xbox, and pc of also getting rid of physical games as well, then I give you a pass for not knowing. Please don't assume that I'd give other companies a pass. If you want to talk about my feelings on this, let's.

My problem isn't with Nintendo but gaming as a whole. I like owning a physical game, knowing it's mine. 85-90% of my games are home console physical media. Do I have some digital games, yeah. But I don't prefer it. Going all digital doesn't agree with me personally. If you don't mind that, fair.

I know it says some, but requiring internet to download a game I bought a physical cartridge for (spending almost $100 for it, I might add), AND you're telling me that they can take away the license at any time - meaning I won't own it, is beyond scummy. They kept this out of the Direct on purpose.

Can't believe I'm about to say this, but I think the Switch 1 will be the last new Nintendo console I buy •physical games aren't physical anymore, they just contain license codes that require internet so I won't actually own the game •$80-$90 games •256GB storage which is horribly behind Steam Deck

A random early morning thought: "If the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games take place in worlds populated only by Pokemon.... how do they know what a human even is?"

Seeing the opening movie again choked me up. Navigating the menu made memories fade back But playing the first snow course and having my muscle memory remember every turn, every shortcut - made me genuinely smile and cry Younger me would be so happy to know you're home again. 😭
