There is a dangerous narrative out there that authors use ai at all, where mostly they don’t (except actual scam artists), but it IS being subtly used to target authors of color to discredit them by running their books through ai-checkers (which have been shown to be inaccurate).

It’s actually embarrassing how many times I’ve been there. But haven’t gone since the pandemic actually. My tip is just don’t worry about planning too much, take some time to just wander and discover things! Also being up early the first day is a nice opportunity to go find a cafe (or Mr.donut)🥳
