seashell fae

Digital painting of a merman sitting on a clam shell bed situated on a giant rock, holding a giant pearl, with fish swimming around him. He has two scaly, green legs with fins instead of one fish-tail, he's wearing a pale loin cloth, and his arms are scaly and green, with fins protruding from the sides, and his hands are webbed. He is holding the pearl close to his torso.

no im not an angel pt 2 #art

pov you're looking out to an angel in your apartment hallway. Bright white with glowing eyes.

It says "wanna come out and move on to the next plane of existence togther? ... just kidding of course!"

your options to respond are
"... I'm good"
"Tell me more, I'm bored anyway"

the cursor points on the second option.

It is hard to be broke when you want to get into performing again. I do not have any equipment besides a phone and that is just not great! Going to prioritize using my acoustic guitar more I guess, at least I got that!

I’m gonna try to push myself to be a bit more engaging in tomorrow’s performance. I’m 30 years old and life is too short to be shy on a platform.😂

I feel frustrated about masking and how politicized it is and how everyone acts about it and how few people do it anymore and apparently the fact that I do it still makes people perceive and treat me like a joke. I hate this place

Agreed! I think teaching or learning from an approach of curiosity is so much more productive and helpful for subjects like music theory but really just everything! I think it includes a lot more people.

Such a huge disservice and also keeps everyone from having access to creating it and it makes me mad!

000

Laz-E-Lio Art (he/they)☀️ @lazelio.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

That took me down a whole other path where I just started talking about my relationship with music and how I feel like instruments are intimidating because of the way music theory is taught and treated by education. Like it gets so elitist and gate keep-y so fast and I feel like that does music

Laz-E-Lio Art (he/they)☀️ @lazelio.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I was telling my friend how I learned guitar and realized that I never really learned any instruments imo. Like yeah I can play them but like I feel like it’s like any other art, you are always learning??

Laz-E-Lio Art (he/they)☀️ @lazelio.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I know I should be patient and nice but I am constantly fighting people on their worldviews and misdirected anger and frustrations and it’s just a lot all the time. Which I am sure I am preaching to the choir but like god. People really don’t look at anything unless you force them to and even then.

Someone had the balls to complain about having to sit next to a fat person on a plane because the fat person (allegedly) didn’t buy an extra ticket and I had to guide their anger to the right thing in a work meeting. Like bro. I was that fat person. You don’t know what made them have to sit there.

I am becoming very cynical and bitter and I really don’t like it! It is really depressing to me. And like, I feel like I should be able to stop doing this if I don’t like it so much but then life keeps happening to me and I just start crying out of frustration for how I feel despite what I want.

Over 40% of all Airbnbs in Pacifica are operated by a company, rather than an individual person.

"Airbnb has decided it’s hard to stop short-term rental ordinances at the local level because if you’ve got some city along the coast and all their residents are up in arms about short-term rentals, it’s going to be hard for Airbnb to go in there,” Sivas said. “But if (Airbnb) can go after the commission and make the commission the bad guy, then none of their ordinances will get approved because they’ll make the commission scared.”

The company is now spending more to lobby government entities across California and the country than ever. Airbnb spent $1.09 million on federal lobbying in 2025, up from $260,000 just 10 years prior, according to Open Secrets, a website that tracks data on campaign finance, lobbying and how money influences American politics.

In its $615,000 spent on lobbying in the 2025-26 legislative session, Airbnb reported spending some of that money specifically to influence “Coastal Commission Appointees,” according to public lobbyist filings, although the exact amount is not clear.

New — I had the opportunity to see NAZA, the documentary freaking out the Israeli government because of its horrifying firsthand descriptions of the way the IDF has used AI to target and massacre Palestinian civilians. My thoughts on the film’s damning revelations, and the banality of evil:
