Dungeon Hunter: Act III comes out tomorrow! Dungeon Hunter is an ace/allo MM LitRPG. To celebrate Act III's release, Act I and Act II are going for 99c each! lazarusjamescreate.wordpress.com/books/ Second illustration by add_milk2matcha!

Cover of Dungeon Hunter: Act III. It has a white background. There is a green box at the top with a countdown of 168:00:00, under which four green zeroes sit. In the centre of each zero is a black silhouette. From the left, there is a small bent-over person, a relaxed woman with a blade, a strong person on their knees, a young girl stretching forward. The title follows, Dungeon Hunter: Act III. Beneath that, there are two more silhouettes on a green platform, both men. The one on the right is walking forward but turning back, urging the one behind him onward by holding his hand. The one on the left is standing still and looking at their hands. The author's name is under them, Lazarus James.

A young injured man, Lee, cradles another in his arms. The man he is holding, Axel, has grabbed him by the chin, and they are gazing intently at one another. Green magic sparks under Lee's hand. Both men are wearing winter gear, their background an arctic biome.

Happy International Asexuality Day! The main character of Dungeon Hunter is ace! Dungeon Hunter is an ace/allo MM LitRPG! (The author, me, is also on the ace spectrum!)

The book cover for Dungeon Hunter: Act I, which depicts six white silhouettes on black background, most separated by the walls of a blue maze. Notably at the top left, two characters are together. One sits with their legs hanging down, the other leans against the wall. To their right is a cat. Below the cat is a large and buff figure, flexing. Diagonally down to the left is a smaller silhouette, bald, and below them, cordoned off from the others, is a young child curled into a ball. The cover also displays the author's name: Lazarus James.

All LitRPG MCs have their own gimmick, to their benefit or detriment. With side characters none the wiser, the MCs are fuelled by glitches, regression, dual-minds, chance, and maybe even revenge. Dungeon Hunter answers the question: What if your party were these characters instead? #litrpg #queer

Definitely an inspiration, for sure! My original cover wasn't much like most LitRPGs either. It just wasn't hitting the notes I needed, unfortunately. I kept many elements from the original, but to match my new blurb, I shifted focus from the black holes to the characters! (Back still has it, ha!)

I was inspired by system manhwa for Dungeon Hunter. ORV, The S-Classes I Raised, SSS-Class Suicide Hunter, Survival of a Sword King, Doom Breaker, and Dungeon Reset are all stories that I draw from. Except I made mine gay.

"We turned the corner to approach the cloud of cigarette smoke wisping from the dark under the stairs. Only the very red glowing, ember end was visible. An exasperated groan wafted from the shadows. So, this was Jye? They didn’t sound overly enthused at our arrival." #litrpg #lgbt #DH:AI

"Looters were amok, and smoke rose into the skies of the setting sun in several locations. I’m certain at one point I saw someone materialise inside a storefront next to a dapperly dressed mannequin." #litrpg #lgbt #DH:AI

"It was unnerving hearing all these notifications almost simultaneously. It was like worldwide everyone was coming to the same conclusion. Everyone was thinking the same thing. The Dungeons. Clear as day, I could taste the invading compulsion blossoming in my chest." #litrpg #lgbt #DH:AI

"Like something of a newer model of Uncle Seb, Axel Masson was a blond man with an undercut nearing his thirties, with deep bags under blue eyes that were blessed with thick lashes, his full lips currently pressed together in idle thought." Dungeon Hunter: Act I #litrpg #lgbt #queer #fantasy

I won't lie, I traced the feet and hands of the ref pic. I'm not there yet. Anyway! It's my OCs, Lee and Axel. This is not canon.

just from a folklore point of view, "attractive hooded man kills billionaire head of hated business with bullets inscribed with political slogans and then vanishes" is narratively breathtaking

"Immediately, he laughed. For a second, I felt my ears grow hot with embarrassment. I had gotten used to Axel being brutally honest with me—it was part of who he was—but he rarely outright mocked my ideas. He must’ve caught my expression, because he stopped laughing." Dungeon Hunter, Chapter One

Which cover is better? 1, 2, or 3? It's all kind of subtle changes, but what do you think?

Lee! The main protag of Dungeon Hunter, the LitRPG I'm writing. Uh. I can only vaguely draw and my characters never look the same. So don't expect consistency, lmaooo.
