Reading Revenge of the Sith makes it extra obvious how bad a teacher Yoda is. His teaching method is you're either good at being a jedi or you shouldn't be one, and if you're depressed, just stop being depressed. He did it with Anakin, he did it with Luke. Disaster lineage has a very obvious origin

I'm so happy with the dice I bought at Gamescom and Connichi. The set I bought at Connichi genuinely look like they contain a magical storm that is always shining.

there's a full D&D dice set in a cyan/green coloring with golden numbers. They look like they contain a magical shining storm. They're actually translucent with some kind of shiny cyan/green foil inside.
There's also a single metal D6. It looks heavy. Each corner is extruded as a sphere. Each face has a circle lined with dots, that look like rivets. Within the circle it's much deeper, and the number lies in the center, deeply embossed. There are details indicating a gambler's theme, as every face has all the card suit symbols in each corner.

fucking AI chatbots. It's getting worse. I called the vet to discuss that my cat has scratched himself bloody again. AI chatbot won't connect me to a human. It takes down the message decently well, but when it requires me to say my (portuguese) name it acts like I didn't say anything.

I'm really appreciating reading the SW Attack of the Clones novelization. Having all those extra scenes, and getting to read what the characters were thinking really makes the story stronger. Unfortunately sometimes the movie dialogue happens.

Star Wars completely missed the chance on telling an interesting story, when they had a character, who shapeshifts to blend into a crowd, try to assassinate a woman, who blends in by surrounding herself with people who look like her, in a movie called attack of the Clones. There's themes there!

Partial solar eclipse was fun! It's fascinating that we get to see something like solar eclipses on this planet.

a picture of what looks like a crescent moon, but is in fact a partially occluded sun as seen through eclipse glasses. A bright sickle shape where you know that the circle eating into the sun is a massive object in space moving slowly but visibly.
