This afternoon I joined the Christ Church Cathedral Past Choristers evensong. It was lovely to see some former colleagues and talk to a few new people, and sing some lovely music!

Our final hymn this morning was to the tune The Ash Grove, which is a Welsh traditional melody. It feels like the kind of tune that The Two Ronnies might have used for one of their comedy musical numbers.

Sweated my way through evensong. Not just because of the heat, but also because I forgot my specs and had to squint my way through 3 psalms, Leighton Second, and Mathias Let all the people. Phew!
