I love the game, don't get me wrong. I think its a fantastic RPG, with well thought out environmental storytelling that makes one reflect on humanity's failings. Its just rare for me to find a videogame where I can have hours of fun, while also questioning the harrowing effects of man's hubris.

Playing Fallout 4 always gives me a sombre feeling about things, which is what you want in a post-apocalyptic game. Wandering a radioactive Earth, seeing the aftermath of a war gone too far, and hearing pre-recorded messages for help next to skeletal remains is enough to break ones heart.

A moment that stopped me in my tracks playing #Fallout 4 was when Nick Valentine casually pondered "So, who do you think won the war?...No one, I guess". That hit me like a ton of bricks, making me take in my surroundings; crumbling buildings, and scattered skeletons. Was it worth it?

I never thought I'd see the day where you can play a videogame about tidying up your bedroom, a supermarket, or even a library. Its like that Simpsons episode where Marge fails to get Bart to do some gardening, but he'll gladly play a videogame about gardening 🤣 #GameSky #CozyGames

Wild how a country that cries out for "free speech" is okay with banning books that explore, and challenge, racism, sexual violence, political/religious views, or even putting a spotlight on LGBTQIA+ themes. Reading makes you more empathetic, which is why they want you to stop. #BannedBooksWeek

The tribute show for PAC last Wednesday was a wonderful show honouring a beautiful soul gone too soon. I held my tears back as best I could, but when they showed that video package at the end, and that empty chair in the ring, I had to grab some tissues. #RIPPAC; we'll miss you. #AEW #AEWDynamite

Like everyone else, I'm shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of PAC. He was a hell of a wrestler, who looked primed for bigger things. #RIPPAC #ThankYouPAC #AEW #WrestleSky

Damn. Hearing that beautiful melody from the violinist during Will Ospreay's entrance at #AEWAllOut makes me wish I took up the violin all those years ago. There's still time, right? #AEW

Steven Borden took a nasty bump last night, but is said to be conscious, talked to doctors about his match and is all clear in terms of having any serious brain damage. Thank God for that. It just goes to show, as much as we love this stuff, its still a risky business. #AEW #AEWAllOut

AEW All Out tonight, and NJPW Destruction in Kobe tomorrow! That's my weekend sorted. #AEW #NJPW #WrestleSky

Luke Abbott @lawrites.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Destruction in Kobe this Sunday, and while it should be a great night of action, its Shingo vs. Claudio that has me the most hyped. Its gonna be a hell of a hoss fight, and seeing Claudio tear it up in Japan is always a treat (get this man in a G1, pronto!). #NJPW #njdest

I'll definitely be seen as a poser, because I never really take the names of arcs in. I just go by episode to episode. Early days of Dragon Ball Z were very confusing to me, especially during the Namek Saga: what do you mean it wasn't just one, long saga?!

When fans ask "why didn't Edge stay with WWE?", show them this poster. Believe it or not, some people value the actual wrestling over money. Copeland in MLP is huge. It'll bring a lot of eyes to their show (mine included). #WrestleSky #MLP

Caught a few episodes of MLP Mayhem on their YouTube channel, and I liked what I saw. Top notch wrestling from some of the worlds greatest, accompanied by the stellar voices of Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis; MLP has started strong, and will get more eyes on it thanks to MyAEW. #WrestleSky

Austin Creed openingly bringing up his previous tag team with Jay Lethal in the early days of TNA was a fun bit, because its acknowledging other companies and you'd never hear that in WWE (unless they own it). Ps. New Level are having WAY too much in #AEW. #AEWCollision #WrestleSky

Its just so disappointing. Marvel/Disney's biggest fumble. People need to stop asking him about it, too. His short responses show his frustrations (and rightfully so).

010

Luke Abbott @lawrites.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

This is on the same level of shock as the passings of Brodie Lee, and Bray Wyatt. Butcher was one of the better big men #AEW had, with a menacing presence that couldn't be taught. A very old school look with a slice of the macabre; he stood out instantly with his tag partners. #RIPAndyWilliams

I forget Metal Gear 4 was a Playstation exclusive, that's funny how they had to go back and tweak a few lines for the X-Box. I wonder if they forgot about the line until they came up to that scene, and were like "Oh, crap".

Luke Abbott @lawrites.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

One of the BIGGEST pops of the night; Austin Creed and Kofi are finally All Elite and, man, it feels right having these guys in #AEW. I look forward to seeing this team develop, especially with Swerve being paired with them. #AEWDynamite is gonna be so fun. #AEWAllIn

"We've never seen this Kenny before." You have if you've watched his big matches from NJPW: this is Heel Kenny, The Cleaner, the Madman of New Japan; and when he's like his wide-eyed, violent self, you know you're in for a wild ride. #AEW #AEWAllIn

I don't wanna hear, or read, anyone calling Mercedes Mone "Mercedes Hogan" after beating Willow Nightingale at #AEWAllIn. Its taken her 2 years, 2 Owen Hart Cup wins, and 3 title shots for Mercedes to win her 1st #AEW Women's World Title. Hardly an easy climb to the top.

An iconic country singer, with many hit singles throughout the years, but its her self awareness and character that'll be remembered just as much: helping kids to read, and unapologetically supporting LGBTQIA+ people during a time when nobody was. A trailblazer, and an inspiration. #RIPDollyParton

"Convince me to watch your favourite wrestling show." No. Any real wrestling fan will watch another show out of curiosty, they'll never challenge your fandom with a such a smug request. Anyone asking this is just stirring it. No amount of "convincing" can change a mind already made up. #WrestleSky

I'm sorry, but how does The Rock get a Disney Legends Award over Jim Cummings? The voice of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Darkwing Duck, just to name a few from a list of thousands of characters spanning a 40+ year in voice acting and in Disney! The man deserves his flowers.

Fantastic Four #14 suggests humans used to have 12 fingers instead of the standard 10, and its because of Jo and Nicki going back in time that we have the amount we've "always" had, which was 10. But surely we would've known if we had...more...

RIP Hayden Panettiere. I sadly didn't catch much of her body of work, but I thought she did a great job as Sam Giddings from Until Dawn. From a vulnerable victim, to a strategic final girl. She played both sides to her character really well, as well as being generally likeable.

Jeff Cobb, the Hawaiian Juggernaut, is back in #NJPW and he's...Unbound? Interesting. Great to see Cobb back in the cerulean blue, where he's been at his best. Now, its time to show WWE what they missed with this guy. (Seriously, how do you fumble Jeff Freakin' Cobb?!) #G1FINAL

This G1 had its ups and downs for me, but that #G1FINAL between Ryohei Oiwa and Yuya Uemura was incredible. The crowd were red hot from bell to bell, witnessing history as #NJPW's newer, young stars fought for validation and ushering in a new era for the company. Your future is bright, Ryohei.

Yeah, I played the first but never actually finished it 🫣. I thought I was close but it kept going, as those types of games tend to do. The anime is an original story, so I'm SOL if I think I can just watch the anime to understand everything.

001

Luke Abbott @lawrites.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

That was a long sequence, but pretty funny (I wonder if that's the intro to the movie). I just hope the quality is just as good as the first movie.

Nigel Farage may have won his seat back in the Clacton by-election but the real winner was Count Binface, whose very presence throughout this publicity stunt rightfully made a mockery of Farage's imaginary fight against "the establishment". Now, lets continue that watchdog investigation, shall we?

"Patrick Wilson is being considered for the role of Prof. Charles Xavier." This should already be a done deal, as far as I'm concerned. Patrick Wilson is a highly versatile actor, who is consistently great in everything he's ever appeared in. Seriously, Marvel/Disney: get it done.

000

Luke Abbott @lawrites.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Its pretty sus, especially with them cancelling Season 2 of Wonder Man so suddenly. Marvel/Disney took 7yrs of this man's life, no wonder he took that Jurassic World Rebirth role; he wasn't doing anything else.
