The irony is just too rich. Smith and UCP complain incessantly about over-reach from Ottawa (most of their complaints are fabricated or manipulated to hide their incompetence) while actively overreaching its mandate as a provincial government. Resist!

Great programme! Our family has been fortunate to send 2 Parliamentary Pages to Ottawa.

Smith conveniently forgets she wanted to double Alberta’s population by inviting Immigrants to Alberta. How did this woman ever become Premier?

When all this separatist BS is over Oct 19th, a class action lawsuit should be started against all those involved in wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on a referendum the majority of Albertans never wanted nor asked to happen. Premier Smith and Co are at the top of my list to sue!

If the media is talking about the referendum, they are not talking about the situation in health care, education, human rights, affordability,… All thing Smith is grossly mismanaging. She needs to be removed from office asap!

However, she refers to the question, singular. And, it is written as one question, not two, in the release. Granted, the communication department of the UCP often makes glaring grammatical errors. And to think, Smith has a degree in English.

So much for all her, « I’m a federalist » talk. She is such a power-hungry woman. Anything to clear the path for the separatists.

My blood pressure is up listening to Premier Smith twist the facts on Power and Politics. The Forever Canada petition was NEVER about a referendum—Smith refused to put it to a vote in the Leg, as was the intent. Reporters need to call her out on this. David Cochrane asked some good questions.

Hot bed of separatist sentiment—easy pickings for bad actors and potential insurrectionist. Olds-Didsbury elected a WWC MLA back in the 80s. WWC was the first iteration of the Wildrose party, which is essentially our current government.

I agree! I was trying to read between the lines during PM Carney’s introduction of Mme Arbour. This is a very smart, strategic choice for our GG. IMO, the PM was putting the UPC on notice. As an Albertan, I fully support dealing with our corrupt government and their traitorous friends.

Here we go again…change the law (again!) to make it easier for Danielle to get more power. What harm can the Premier, who represents a political party, do with oversight of the other political parties? (Asked with a large dose of sarcasm!)

The House is only ever full during Question Period or during a vote. During Debates, it is often very empty. MPs often do other committee work or address issues in their constituencies during this time.

The subtitle is just a little biased. They don’t respect the majority of Albertans now. Why would we believe they will respect the will of the people after this ridiculous referendum? We’ve said NO to provincial police force, but it looks like we’re getting one anyway 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Why on earth would we want more representation from a group that does not appreciate nor understand how Canada works? What an asinine idea! As an Albertan, I would appreciate if the media (and our provincial gov’t) would stop pandering to this group of far-right idiots. Oxygen only feeds the fire.
