lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 11/10/2026start collecting soundfonts, hum out some melodies while recording in audacity, mess with the reverb options (yes, openmpt has those kinda options)... it takes a bit of trial and error. 100 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 11/10/2026lmms is a thing, though it's kinda weird in places. I think openmpt might be an option, though that's tracker software and not a daw. imo you should probably start with some kinda midi sequencer first, though I couldn't find a native usable one last time I searched. 100 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 10/10/2026My issue is that I often don't have enough time and energy after my longass workday and by the time I get home I just sorta wanna do some stuff that doesn't have a high amount of current unknowns to it. (I would prolly install mint on my win11 laptop if I had enough encouragement and focus) 000 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 07/10/2026I'm using github for one of my websites while the other one I'm using neocities. I'm ehhh about the sandboxed manner that neocities works, but it let's you just plop stuff in without trying to remove your website for inactivity. Github's webpage feature almost feels like cheating. 110 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 07/10/2026I got back to using KompoZer and while it is abandoned freeware, it's a lot easier to use than just freeballing with notepad++, thanks to having a visual mode,a code mode, and a rendered webpage mode. Other parts of the process depends on where you're hosting it. 100 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 21/09/2026A way I would update this is to focus on text readability. Make sure it's big enough to be read by visitors, but keep the colorful elements in play. maybe lower their contrast slightly when obstructive, but largely keep it as is. The future of web design should have both form and function. 030 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 21/09/2026they look engaging, but there's just one issue: the text is all so freaking small. I'm assuming the visual elements have been scaled based upon screen size, which makes the text scaled based upon size point get tiny on larger contemporary displays. 240 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 21/09/2026I checked which supplements I take already and my gummy vitamins have a pretty decent amount of d3. Or at least they're supposed to have 125% dv in a 2 gummy dose (I alternate between one and two depending on if its an iron supplement day. Noniron days I take one gummy and half of a nasty multi) 010 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 20/09/2026Fun fact: sparklet (jello's "friend") is vaguely based off of my "best friend" when I was little (mom's friend's kid that's ten days younger than me) who hit me over the head with a plastic school bus and told me that Santa wasn't real. 011 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 19/09/2026There's something wrong with me but I've got too many things to tend to lately. Willing to bet at least one of those things is stress. 110 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 19/09/2026In jello and the valley of duh, the childhood friend pushes you off a cliff in ch2, doesn't like that you made friends with a space alien (Kirby), is revealed to be an assigned friend in ch5, and much later on your dark future alt ends up killing him. You later find his body on the lake's shore. 110 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 13/09/2026I miss jenny. I haven't seen her since like, yesterday and I'm worried. She even said pizza bagel was over, apparently because it was dedicated to someone she's heartbroken over. I think I'm too callous for focusing on the "single point of failure" part of the situation and not doing much about it. 000 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 09/09/2026Fix the economy (preferably for everyone and not just me) and stop companies from committing war crimes and maybe I'll resume buying games again. Then again I also need the time to play them too. 011 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 03/09/2026Most actions performed in zelda games require active observation of moving elements. while many features have statistics that can be quantified, most games do not focus on these numbers heavily. That being said, Zelda 2 is absolutely designed as an RPG, despite its action/adventure trappings. 010 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 03/09/2026imo, while most zelda games have some rpg elements, it is primarily a series of action/adventure games. The way to test this is to see how well its gameplay can be replicated in a tabletop format. 110 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 03/09/2026in theory yeah, but in practice... me and my friends (and polycule partners) are gonna need a lot more planning and savings and moving logistics to make any of this work well on a practical level. (and that's not even addressing employment!) 000 0

lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 03/09/2026at about 9-10pm, tends to be a good time for gamedev stuff, possibly due to habit, but usually requires a dinner that isn't too big or too small (portion control ftw). In early morning right after meds, I'm at max mental power and can usually figure out programming stuff until 10 or 11am. 130 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 03/09/2026for example, in the afternoon, I tend to be ass for intensive mental stuff, but I can often instead do physical tasks, as long as I didn't mess up my blood sugar with too much sodium from my instant noodles at lunch (that usually makes me immobile on the couch for an hour or two) 110 0
lav @lavendersiren.itch.io · 03/09/2026offloading to paper will free your mind of those things. unfortunately, the ADHD mind often needs a secondary thing to have enough pressure to launch your energies through the hose. it's much harder when stressed tho and I often feel like I can only do certain types of tasks in certain situations. 110 0
