Does any other old fart like me think that the increasing demonstrations against musk and trump et alios are reminiscent of the beginning days of the antiwar movement in the 1960s?

How far we have fallen since I took this photograph on July 4, 1976 on the New Jersey Palissades! How could we have fathomed what was to come?

I primeron what happened when there were no safeguards and banks and the rich controled our world. The Great Depression. Oh, what a lovely time we had!!! It's anyone's bet when our October 29th will happen, but it will happen. Alas, the windows of skyscrapers no longer open ...

I wonder if anyone has thought about that time when the wealthy ruled leading to October 29, 1929, and the great Depression which would end only with FDR's policies that are now being dismantled by an immigrant from racist South Africa. Santayana! You knew, didn't you, that no one remembers history?

Nearly all the scaffolding erected to repair the damage to the Washington National Cathedral following the 2011 earthqake has been removed. The north side is now completely devoid of scaffolding and the pinnacles on the central tower might also soon be completed.

Villa Borghese Gardens (2002). DC is feeling bleak and I yearn to be away from the madness and seek out beauty. Photographs help, if only for a moment or two.

As my country is being dismantled by ignorant, venal imbeciles, my digital memories are partially sustaining me. If Notre Dame can be restored, then our country can. Will I still be around when? It took decades for Charles II to come back and restore England after Cromwell's religious delusions.
