September album quilt. I love the new Team Dresch and Tom Morello albums. I had never heard of Speed Stroke before but their new album is a ton of fun. I like the new The Tremolo Beer Gut a lot and greatly respect their commitment to the bit of just always reusing the same album art for 30 years.

The Global Challenge kicked my ass. Lost an embarrassing 20 games. Took notes on losses to see how to improve later but seems like the only take away is don't rely on Muddy Water. Anyway, posting it all here so that the timeline isn't all people with 40+ wins making the rest of us feel bad.

It took me 19 games just to get to the 1600s in the Global Challenge. Don't think this is my weekend. On the bright side, still haven't had any communication errors so still 1000 times better than any of the Scarlet/Violet GCs.

Control has been in my pile of shame for years and I finally started playing it last week so that I'd be able to roll right into Resonant. So far I'm not nearly as in love with it as everyone else was so hearing Resonant is a step back is discouraging.

Won a League Challenge tonight. 15 Championship Points on the board for 2027. Really want a strong start to the season and going undefeated at my first local of the year really helps. Especially after all the times I went X-1 and missed on tiebreakers the last 2 years.

Looks at usage data: Wow, I can't believe Rotom-W is so low. It's strong into most of the top mons and it pairs with everything. Plays a few battles, Rotom hits 2 for 4 on WoW and 1 for 7 with Hydro Pump: Okay maybe the usage is right where it should be.
