My son has figured out puns. He's collapsed on the floor crying laughing because of his own jokes right now. #parenting #nightsatthelavahouse

I am pausing my commissions for the time being. I'm going to finish the ones I have in the works before I go on a break, I won't leave people hanging. I just need some time with my family.

Started the kids watching Transformers Prime, and if you've never heard a little kid valiantly trying to pronounce all their names it's very fun and sweet. I'm sure "Oppimdus Prime" wouldn't mind at all 😆 #transformers #transformersprime #optimusprime

Oh I LOVE that one! Ghibli movies are like comfort food for the heart

Lavabean @lavabean.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

When life is stressful my comfort movie is the 1995 version of Jane Austen's Persuasion. What movie do you go back to when the world has too much drama?

PSA: if you get a PayPal request from a Bluesky account labeled lavabeans that is NOT ME. I arrange commissions by DM and I will NEVER ask for payment up front. #psa #commissions #lavabeanart

That is such disgusting behavior. Why do people like this deliberately go after the ones who say Don’t Do That? (We know why)

020

Lavabean @lavabean.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I’m opening commissions for a while! I would really appreciate the support, as I’ve recently come up on some surprise expenses. If you’re interested in a commission you can send a direct message

Everybody hush up and look at this salamander my kid drew, its name is Kobold #kidart #babybeanart #salamander

A very cute and slightly blobby salamander. It's orange with spots and has a wide open eye that looks as though it has SEEN things

In theory it's really cool to have birds moving into the bush at the front of my house, I feel honored. Unfortunately both birds have displayed an astonishing lack of self preservation and common sense.
