lauriewoodner.bsky.social @lauriewoodner.bsky.social · 09/10/2026My heat pump is efficient and has saved us a lot of money over the the past 2 winters since we got it and we aren't burning as much fossil fuel. We use the gas furnace when the temp. drops below -12, but that is not often. It is a nice heat and nice cooling in the summer. 020

lauriewoodner.bsky.social @lauriewoodner.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I have been putting mine on in the morning to take the edge off the chill. I have a heat pump so I don't feel too bad turning up the heat a bit, no fossil fuels at all and minimal cost. 010

lauriewoodner.bsky.social @lauriewoodner.bsky.social · 19/09/2026You really can't be too careful out there with the way people are driving nowadays. I travel rural roads daily and feel like I am taking my life in my own hands every time. I see near misses almost every time I drive. I have had many close calls with irresponsible drivers. 000

lauriewoodner.bsky.social @lauriewoodner.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Good to hear. I watched the movie and was disappointed. I didn't grasp the nuance of the movie and think that I might have had I read the book. It wasn't until the very end that I realized what it was. Maybe the actors? The directors? Maybe just me? I always recommend reading the book first. 120

lauriewoodner.bsky.social @lauriewoodner.bsky.social · 30/08/2026You have to be creative. I don't like throwing food out. Corn, I would cook and slice off to freeze for a later date, then you have to remember it is there! A cob of corn and some fresh sliced tomatoes and cheese would make a good lunch. For me it is the desserts, a pie lasts a long time. 120
