There are so many memories tied up in this day, predominantly around watching it unfold and waiting to hear that my bf and her husband had gotten out safely, and fearing the worst. But..this is a lighter memory. Hubster and I had bought new living room furniture which would be delivered on 9/12.

I went to Dollywood once when Hubster played there. It was nice. I honestly couldn’t tolerate her voice. But, if you asked me to list the ten people I most admire, she would always be #1. So much deep respect for that woman. She was simply the greatest.

I have been having a hard time remembering much of anything, even the last few weeks, about Hubster since he died. Today, an old, old friend and his wife stopped by and brought lunch. He spent 5 hours telling stories, some I didn't know (band road trips), but many more I instantly remembered. There

I thought I might watch the #Sky game tonight. Then my neighbor invited me out for an after-dinner walk. Then we sat in the park and talked for an hour. Then we went to her house and had chocolate cake till dark and she drove me home. Now I’m thinking I might actually sleep tonight. #grieflife

The only one I can think of who just put on a bad show and not was too wasted to be onstage (several of those!) was a female singer-songwriter whose name I can't recall. She spent her whole set messing with her hair and posing. Her band was great. Her songs were good. She was pretentious and awful.

YES!!! I was reading at a 12th grade level when I started 1st grade. Why? Because my mother read to me every day. She helped me sound out words so I'd recognize them if I saw them again. Every night, my dad and I read the newspaper together and did the crosswords. I learned more new words.

My mom kicked me outta the house right after breakfast, called me in for lunch, then kicked me back out till dinner. Introvert child, I used to get peopled out and sneak back into the house for some alone time. I'd scare her to death finding me tucked away in a corner with a book. 😆😆😆
