Happy Fourth of July from the Jewel of the Hills. As the daughter of two people who lived the American Dream, I know firsthand how powerful that promise can be. Today, I celebrate our freedoms and recommit myself to fighting for the American Dream to be within reach for everyone.

Happy Flag Day, America! It is patriotic to fight for the promise our nation holds: the American Dream for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance. 🇺🇸 It was a pleasure co-chairing the weekend’s America 250 events with Councilwoman Lothian. #LaMesa #FlagDay

Congratulations to Xavier Becerra on securing a Top 2 finish & advancing to the November General Election. Becerra has a strong history of advocating for LGBTQ+ rights & defending medically-necessary healthcare for trans youth — we look forward to helping him win this November 3! #CAGov

Back in San Francisco for CADEM felt full circle. I attended my first convention there in 2019 as a PLNU Dems rep and built friendships that still shape my work. Now serving on the Executive Board, I’m proud of our big tent party. Heading home grateful and excited for what’s ahead. 💙

Please join me in welcoming my friend, Councilman Gary Kendrick, to the San Diego County Democratic Party. After decades as the longest-serving Republican in municipal office in San Diego County, Councilmember Kendrick chose principle and moral conviction over his lifelong party affiliation.

The Brass Rail is back. For 92 years, it has stood at the heart of San Diego’s LGBTQ+ movement as a place of organizing, visibility, and leadership. 🏳️‍🌈 Proud to stand alongside my friends to honor a landmark that shaped our region.

Enjoying that weird time of year between Christmas & New Year with my dad at La Mesa’s newest ice cream shop, Bruster’s! 🍦🍨We’re stoked to have this locally owned shop with a huge rotating variety of flavors right down the street. The tiramisu is my favorite & my dad loved the coconut cream pie.
