I feel these #GH writers need to learn what those novelists who are wise - at least about criticism! - already know: never complain; never explain. Also? You can't talk people into liking what they don't like.

Anyone wondering how Trump could possibly say that Katie Zacharia did well at her first briefing as Press Secretary, you need to realize: He only chose her as Press Secretary because her hair is similar to Ivanka's, so for him, she succeeded. Does it make better sense now?

Imagine how good this show could be if Frank had been fired one year ago? Five years ago? Better still, what if he'd never been hired in the first place? #GH

I understand and I have enjoyed watching you. But today was just a misery slog, just way too much misogyny and too much obvious F.U. treatment of the show's own audience.

Having watched this show since 1979, I thought my loyalty would survive beyond the tenure of any bad executive producer. Well, that loyalty has finally been defeated. #GH

In a world with so much suffering and misery, soaps should be an enjoyable and entertaining escape. Sadly, #GH is no longer that.

I hate how small BrookLynn always makes herself to accommodate her immeasurably stupid husband. #GH

Meanwhile, if Scout killed her father, she would instantly become the most iconic character in Port Charles ever. Luke and Laura would have nothing on her. #GH

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Dear BrookLynn: You know who Chase never interrogated with the relentless zealotry he's turned on you? Weeping Whiner. Kick the freeloader out of the Q mansion. Divorce him. #GH

020

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

No one could ever accuse me of being a Lucy fan, but watching Chase threaten her with a year in prison for falsifying a report to the police makes me want to see her citizen-arrest him for falsifying evidence to protect Weeping Whiner. #GH

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Only in Port Charles is more attention focused on finding someone who didn't stop to help after an accident the driver admits they caused than the deaths of multiple federal agents combined. #GH

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

It's so awesome hearing NewAussie mansplain Britt's own family and behavior to her. JK! It's misogynistic and annoying AF! #GH

021

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

At this point, I just tune out when The Thing That Wouldn't Leave is on camera. Outside of that, it's a pretty good opening today. #GH

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

At some point, the only logical conclusion for anyone rational in the audience to make is that Frank and his writers are laughing at their own audience while cashing paychecks. #GH

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

It's like waking up in Soap Opera Hell: Maura West *finally* gets the screen time she so richly deserves, only to have it be with someone who is the cause of a lot of viewers turning off the TV. They're not redeeming him; they're destroying her. It ain't right. #GH

I nominate Outback to be the next Mayor, Chief of Police and head of the WSB Bureau in Port Charles. #GH

251

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Fabulous Anna/Valentin scenes. And while I adore Trina, I can't be the only 64-year-old in the audience wondering where on earth she found my dress from the '80s. #GH

040

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Lucas makes Britt so much more fun than she was before, I'd love to see those two go out with Liz for a night on the town. Meanwhile, Charlotte really needs to stop letting her Kissing Cousin tell her what to do, because he's an idiot and she's a Cassidine. #GH

252

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Poor Maura West. To have her outsized talent and to be languishing on the General Hospital backburner for years, only to be saddled with this when she finally gets some story. It's like the Monkey's Paw all over again. #GH

161

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

It sounds now as though it was not Chris McKenna's choice to leave General Hospital. If that's the case, it makes what happened this past week exponentially more egregious. Why fire a performer the audience loves to see while retaining those they notoriously do not? #GH

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

The double date with Ric/Liz/Portia/Isaiah was a lot of fun! The new Scout is awesome! There, I was positive about a few things! #GH

030

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I think a lot of viewers would agree that Scout's dad ranks high on the list of Worst Characters Ever and yet I'm still Team Scout in this fight with Danny. Why must the son of Sam and Jason be such a whining weenie all the time? #GH

020

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Getting rid of the wrong CM is an incredibly bad look for a show that struggles so hard with ratings. If only there were a way for shows in the modern era to know which characters/actors/storylines work and which are a costly problem... If only! #GH

151

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Why does the show keep killing the wrong characters and getting rid of the wrong actors? #GH

010

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Regarding the promo for today: Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm excited for Lulu/Ric scenes. (I'm always excited for Ric.) This Charlotte deserves a love interest she's not related to. Finally: Not. Even. Maura. West. #GH

One of my biggest beefs with the current regime - and, let's face it, the list is long! - is the dumbification of Mayor Laura Collins, who is at once a willing idiot and criminally complicit. #GH

061

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

OK, this is actually hysterically funny: For the boathouse visit, Officer Dumb was half-naked and little Miss Twit-Twat had short-shorts that left no mystery. In public? She's sporting a pussy bow while he has on so many layers - is it instant winter? #GH

010

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Come on, Scout, be the next great hero - take out your hateful dad *and* Little Miss Twit-Twat! #GH

010

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

On the plus side, Charlotte is giving Anya Taylor-Joy (a compliment) and Dante/Britt make for surprisingly pleasing scene partners (too bad that, this time, it's for a stupid reason). #GH

031

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

You know the saying "Stop - you're both pretty!"? Well, with these two guys, it's more like "Stop - you're both flaming a-holes!' IYKYK #GH

Great seeing the incomparable Maura West with a male scene partner who is actually worthy. #GH

021

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Perhaps today will be the day Chase takes off his pants - to go along with never wearing a shirt on boathouse visits - as yet another novel way of proving there's nothing untoward going on between him and Little Miss Twit-Twat. #GH

I can't be the only one who, every time the Strait of Hormuz is trending, wonders: 'Maybe it's because some idiot decided to change the name to Strait of Hormel or even Strait of Homer Simpson?' Because, honestly, people, you just never know what some idiots might do!

000

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Last week it was great having Liz, Dante and Ric on - so much fun! And honestly? The Lulu addition to it all is a good move and the most fun Lulu has been since she's been back, hands down. More, please! #GH

In the positive column for today: I love Jordan's dress! #GH

010

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I mean, one is topless and the other is wearing suede half booties with short shorts and a visible bra strap, the latter being a Glamour Magazine "Don't" look only ever seen on the likes of Lauren Boebert before today. This show isn't a daytime drama - it's a comedy farce! #GH

240

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Apparently, Chase's entire life now centers on making the same executive decision each day: 'I think I'll strip my shirt off and wander down to the boathouse, see if I can be of topless service...' #GH

040

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Unlike in RL, the enemy of my enemy is not my friend on #GH - i.e., someone horrible going after Sonny doesn't suddenly make Sinny more likeable and it certainly doesn't make the guy going after him more likeable. They're both on the All-Time Assholes of Port Charles List.

051

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I just pretend he's not even there now. Suddenly, the show is so much better for me! #GH

000

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I don't understand the creative decisions in terms of pacing: stories the audience lets it known are boring drag on interminably while ideas that could be fun - a big party at Sonny's with so much potential for weeklong drama! - are over in one episode. #GH

010

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Regarding today's promo: Sadly, the only good thing here is that Ava is in a scene with someone the audience can at least stand to watch...barely. #GH

000

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

I can't be the only one out here hoping the audience isn't being played, yet again, for a bunch of egg-on-our faces Charlie Browns. Come on, Natasha, you can't fall for any of this! #GH

020

Lauren Baratz-Logsted @laurenbl.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Justine to Donna: "Actually, I'm pretty good at cornhole" - this may be the most unintentionally funny line ever written for this show. #GH

I think it'd be instructive for Avery to see what a misogynist her father is. Maybe then she'd look at Sonny with the same justifiable scorn and disdain that Scout looks at her horrifically bad father with. #GH
