I'm Latina. To ICE, I look the same as the man they shot in Austin. I mapped the UN's definition of ethnic cleansing against what ICE is doing. It fits. whispercampaign.substack.com/p/stop…

We spend hundreds of millions of dollars fighting other Democrats instead of Republicans. Make it make sense. P.S. the DNC is $2.3 million in debt.

The DNC pledged its own headquarters as collateral for a $15M loan — the biggest off-year borrowing in the committee’s history. THe DNC is over $2M in debt and big dollar donors aren’t giving. The latest from me open.substack.com/pub/whisperc...

DNC Mortgages Building to Pay for Races
Ken Martin can't raise the money, insiders say he won't survive the job, and Democrats go into November with a mortgaged headquarters against a Republican Party sitting on $128 million.

I wouldn’t be a voter for Collins. Ever. I’d vote for Platner. But, that doesn’t mean I can’t say that I don’t agree with the way he’s running his campaign. I want him to win the seat. It weakens the campaign to a degree where I worry it may hurt more than help.

I’d advise his campaign to hit his policy ideas for women hard over the next four months. Townhalls, visits to battered women’s shelters, etc. Wherever he needs to go. He needs every vote.

Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 19/06/2026
But, Collins is a nasty campaigner and Platner is literally a brand new quantity. Collins is entrenched and will not hold back to keep that seat. Platner may not the community-based relationships, usually cultivated over years, to counter some of the stuff she waiting to lob into the race.

Looking at it electorally, as a person who is not new to campaigns, efforts need to increase in areas where campaigns are weakest before the general. Women, in this case, should be the area. His vote share of the Democratic primary is encouraging.

I actually have listened to those. He is very good and knowledgeable at discussing policy which is a benefit to him. My thought is that this is landing with women in Maine, who make upwards of 70% of the electorate in Maine. There are women - regardless of party - who don’t like what they hear

Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 18/06/2026
Will you make a concerted effort to publicly listen to women and commit to public policies that protect them?

Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 18/06/2026
Will you stop minimizing the women and the allegations made as non-issues? Because that’s not helping.

Do you have a plan to earn the confidence of women in Maine over the next four months?

Platner wrote, then concealed messages from Reddit. His Kik account, last I checked, is STILL ACTIVATED. He fumbled the tattoo. Voters asking questions aren’t the problem. The candidate is. My questions…

Apparently you are not allowed to asks questions about Graham Platner. The line is always “you’re helping Collins.” High stakes are the reason to ask MORE questions, not less. He and his campaign made many ill-advised decisions…. open.substack.com/pub/mattdiem...

We came in third. In an 8-candidate field. Against a Democratic Party insider with 29 endorsements, a million dollars between the top two, and $424,000 in outside AI money. I only had $12,000. No staff. No support. Big announcement tomorrow. I’m not going anywhere. We have a democracy to save.

PACs were created so working people could pool power. Super PACs turned that idea into a weapon for corporations and billionaires. Now that weapon is being used in our Democratic primary. That should alarm every voter. 22/22

Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
And he has said nothing. Nothing about BDA PAC. Nothing about Jobs and Democracy PAC. Nothing about oil and gas money. Nothing about anti-union money. Nothing about AI money. Silence is a choice. 21/22
151
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Brian Poindexter posted that corporate PAC money is “a stain on our politics” and that he would “never take a dime of it.” But outside PACs do not need to give him a dime directly. They can spend for him. That is the loophole. 20/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
This is the pattern. Say “working class” in the ad. Hide the corporate money in the fine print. Talk about wages, jobs, and health care. Never mention the industry funding the message. Hope voters do not check the records. 19/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Jobs and Democracy PAC has supported candidates with documented AI policy positions. But Poindexter has no clear public AI policy. So why did an AI-funded political network choose him? Who made that decision? And what do they expect in return? 18/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Here is what makes this so serious. Congress is about to decide the rules on AI: jobs, privacy, health care, schools, liability, data, and whether states can protect their own people. The money arrived before the debate did. That is not a coincidence. 17/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
The FEC records show Jobs and Democracy PAC reported independent spending supporting Brian Poindexter in OH-7. The AI campaign finance tracker lists more than $442,000 in support for Poindexter. 16/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
According to FCC public files reviewed by Democracy Watch, Jobs and Democracy PAC bought $158,100 in Cleveland TV ads across WEWS, WJW, WOIO, and WUAB. The ads run through May 5. That is primary day. 15/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Jobs and Democracy PAC is tied to the Public First network. Anthropic, a $60 billion AI company, announced a $20 million contribution to Public First Action. The AI industry is spending in congressional races before most voters even know the policy fight is coming. 14/22
120
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Then came the second PAC. Jobs and Democracy PAC bought Cleveland TV ads supporting Brian Poindexter. The ads are about costs, wages, jobs, and health care. They do not mention artificial intelligence. That matters. 13/22
110
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
David Peeler gave BDA PAC $25,000. He is tied to private equity. Private equity does not spend in elections because it wants working people to have more power. It spends where it expects access, protection, and influence. 12/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
OH-7 is full of people who rely on Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA. So why is a Romney finance chair helping fund a Democratic primary mailer here? That is not a small detail. 11/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
David Nierenberg gave BDA PAC $100,000. He was a national finance co-chair for Mitt Romney’s campaigns. Romney’s platform included Medicare vouchers, raising the Medicare age, Medicaid cuts, and repealing the ACA. 10/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
You cannot build your campaign around unions while staying silent when a PAC funded by anti-union money spends six figures helping you win. That silence is not neutral. That silence is a choice. 9/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Glen Tullman gave BDA PAC $35,000. He is a billionaire health tech executive who donated $250,000 to Bruce Rauner, a Republican governor whose agenda included weakening unions. Poindexter’s whole campaign brand is being a union man. So, which is it? 8/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
So the question is obvious: Why is oil and gas money helping fund mailers in a Democratic primary in a district where communities have fought fracking and fossil fuel expansion? What do they think they are buying? 7/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Ovintiv USA gave BDA PAC $75,000. Ovintiv is an oil and gas corporation that paid a $5.5 million federal penalty after regulators found air emissions violations at 139 facilities in Utah. Medina County has fought oil and gas encroachment for years. 6/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
The money behind BDA PAC includes oil and gas money, private equity money, a billionaire tied to anti-union politics, and a Romney finance chair. That is who is helping fund mailers for a candidate branding himself as pro-worker. 5/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
BDA PAC is not a grassroots working-class group. It is a Washington political committee tied to the Blue Dog operation, a project built to elect conservative Democrats. That is the first red flag. 4/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
the mailer was paid for by BDA PAC. BDA PAC spent $161,611.35 on mailers in this Ohio Democratic primary for Brian Poindexter. So we pulled the FEC records. 3/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
First came the mailer. The front quoted Poindexter saying he was tired of Republicans “in the pockets of the rich and corporations.” The back said: “Tell the billionaires where to shove it.” Then we looked at who paid for it. 2/22
100
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone @laurarc.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Here is the story voters in OH-7 deserve to know. Brian Poindexter says corporate PAC money is “a stain on our politics.” But two outside PACs tied to corporate interests are now spending to help him win this Democratic primary. 1/22
