I’ve knitted a pair of #Python socks for the #PyLadies Auction @ #PyConUS 2026! They fit a US women’s 7.5-9 shoe or men’s 6-7.5 (about 23.8-25.1 cm foot length, depending on width/instep etc.). The yarn is composed of: 52% Silk 24% Mohair 20% Merino 4% Viscose See some of y’all there!

A pair of socks, one mostly blue with a yellow toe and cuff, and the other yellow with a blue toe and cuff. Each is knit with a snake formed by the texture of the fabric, and the snakes are sticking out their wee tongues. A cat’s back leg is visible in the top right corner of the photo.

Cat: I’ll come sit on this knitting resting on your leg so you can’t knit it and also can’t retrieve it because these paws tucked so sweetly beneath me are armed with knit-destroying hooked knives that will be activated by your pulling the knitting out from below me, which I’ll perceive as a threat

Tabby cat of the brown variety lying on a piece of green knitting (garter stitch with an i-cord edge, of you’re into that kind of thing). Her paws are tucked under her so thoroughly that they’re almost imperceptible, like perhaps this poor limbless creature is actually a potato cosplaying as a cat.

My kid was helping me last weekend and laughed and said “Mom, you just pulled out a sparkly `Hello world` sticker from @pyladiescon.bsky.social that you got at @pybeach.bsky.social while you were fishing in your bag for the key to the @pybay.bsky.social storage unit.” 😁 PyBay is this Saturday! 🥳

This is straight glam-shaming. A bizarre choice of copy for a dental practice promoting Invisalign. Like who do they think their market is, exactly?

Highlighted paragraphs reading:

“If you want to make sure nobody can see your Invisalign for a special event, you can take them out. This isn't recommended, though, as it could slow your progress.”

“Invisalign is designed to straighten your teeth, not protect them in sports scenarios. If you're playing a sport that usually requires a mouth guard , take out your Invisalign trays, and wear a proper guard for the duration of the game.

Taking your aligners out for a few hours at a time won't affect your overall progress. Just remember to put them back in after your activity is done to continue your progress.”

PCB newbie question, please be kind: I really love my Moonlander keyboard and the Oryx configurator, but I’ve settled on a 42-key layout, so the case is considerably larger than I need it to be. I couldn’t just make a new PCB and case and still use Oryx, could I? Or is there a better solution?
