I’m intensely curious now which database of languages @pyladiescon is using for their volunteer form. ❤️😁❤️ I wondered how far back it goes, and I don’t know enough to answer that question precisely but I found “Proto-Indo-European", so really quite far back.

I had to clear #frogs out of this chair before I sat down, and the very instant I stood up this frog leapt back up like "Bitch, this is my chair."

These stumps look like they're cosplaying a judge and barristers at the Old Bailey, with their snow hats like the funny wigs.

A yarn cake with a tag reading "FREIA fine handpaints". The yarn is dyed in shades of rose and peach such that the outermost layers are a medium rose, the next layers in are the darkest rose, followed by layers of medium rose-peach and just peach. Nearing the center are layers of peachy-beige, and at the center is a darker peachy-beige. The colors combine with the wavy, crinkly texture of the layers toward the center to give the overwhelming optical illusion that we're looking at a white person's vulva.

1) "Delicate mitts" by Erica Loftin are fingerless mittens knitted in a green that's kind of a cross between 70s avocado-colored appliance and the light green moss that acts like highlights on trees and things in forests. The pattern features 1x1 ribbing at the wrists and some cables on the hands.

"Vermilion" by Rachel Brockman is a pullover sweater knitted in what I would call a muted wine red but is clearly the inspiration behind the name of the pattern. It has ribbing at the neck and wrists, and cables across the front. The sleeves couldn't decide how long they ought to be: they stop a few inches above the wrists, neither full-length nor 3/4.

Every year the city contracts with Smol Farma to use these self-driving weed wackers to get the creeks and parks ready for fire season. We wake up one day to discover it’s now the Season of the Goat and each day they’re somewhere new. Suburban humans who otherwise don’t see this kind of action…

A few dozen goats amongst wild grasses. There are trees in the background and along the edges of the image, and the grasses are just starting to brown. The goats have coats of brown and ivory; some have patches of color in their coats and some are solid. There’s a patchy one at the bottom of the frame, near the camera, just behind a portable wire fence. Its friends are further away, some lounging under trees.
