These nerdy-ass voice actors have been inspiring me for years and it was amazing to get to meet and talk with them at Emerald City Comic Con today. #criticalrole #eccc2026

I don’t like organised fun, but Dungeons and Dragons is my shining nerdy light amid the darkness | Patrick Lenton
I travel to my friend’s house with a bag of dice and other strange accoutrements that, in an 80s teen film, would lead to me being thrown into a dumpster. I love it

On this All Hallows Eve, the dogwood outside my window stands bare, and I’m thinking of many who have passed on, including a dear former colleague who died yesterday morning. Life is so vulnerable. All of us go down to the dust, yet even at the grave we make our song: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

I don’t know how visible I actually am on this platform, but today is #BiVisibilityDay so here I am, visible, I guess. Claiming a bisexual identity feels complicated to me, so I keep it pretty quiet. This article does a good job of explaining why it’s hard: www.independent.co.uk/voices/bisex...

No matter where I go, what latitude, what continent, what ocean is nearby, whatever the weather or the season, the coastline is consistently my happy place.

Finally some small measure of justice for Rümeysa, but “45 days too late” is right.

If the Trump administration wanted to oppose antisemitism, they could start with themselves. They are trivializing the concept of antisemitism, making it meaningless — and that is a terrible antisemitic action. www.npr.org/2025/04/29/n...

Currently in the Southern Hemisphere, for the first time I got to see what it’s like to have a summer birthday. Went on a very soggy hike to a viewpoint almost entirely obscured by clouds and mist (and with foggy glasses, so I couldn’t see much anyway). It was certainly an adventure!

Every day since January 20 has been a shitshow. We are living in truly dangerous times.

“The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.” Reminding myself to live the next four years in particular as though I believe Dr. King’s words are true, even though it feels today like we are a long, long way from justice at so many levels.
