Wouldn't it be nice if the corporations who are price gouging you, weren't getting tax breaks? Tax breaks that drive up YOUR taxes, to make up for lost revenue. Wouldn't it be great if politicians didn't try to convince you that you should be happy about it, because they get donations to say it?

In 2008, all of Lake County went blue, for the first time in 40 yrs. Partly because of the economy under Bush, but also because Obama campaigned in all 50 states, not just blue states. Democrats don't typically do that. If people don't feel seen or heard, they won't vote for you.

Just in Lake County, 95% of residents lost power. That is over 500 square miles of damage. I have watched roads be cleared of debris so NIPSCO can work, only to have people pile up more debris along the street, including around telephone poles. That isn't helping.

Today 300,000 people in NW Indiana, and another 300,000 in Illinois lost power to wind and tornadoes. Can't get gas anywhere, no charging phones in cars. Can I just say, this really sucks. We should probably take better care of the planet, so Mother Nature will quit smacking the stupid humans.
