I like when E-litre is good but not meta. Ive been a litre main for 11 years - I don’t want to be called a meta user. It was horrendous in S2 but I still played it 😭

Tbf I really liked the meta in v10. Think it was probably the best endgame meta we’ve had in a Splatoon game. It’s just that it had been that way for a while and there’s no new game in sight to shake things up completely without making things a bit worse, hence v11. v11 > S2 easily though

Might be rich coming from an E-litre player but the only reason people want it nerfed is because the maps in S3 are super linear (suck in common terms) and everything else that’s been good has been nerfed into the ground.

I feel like backline is in a pretty good spot right now even though people are doom-posting about E-litre (and I think it’s hilarious because I can make time is a flat circle posts.) Pen/Inkline Stringer are still different backline options that have viable strategies.

When my parents came to watch me at worlds in 2018 they thought we were winning because we had slightly more turf on the map - it was tower control… Splatoon is a much harder game to understand as a spectator than people realise. I think that’s a big issue for why it doesn’t do so well in the west.

For those who want to JP scrim, peak time (and the only time you’ll be able to find them) is from 9PM JST. However, be prepared to receive many “JP only” responses. Also, expect many scrims to end after one game due to lag. This happens frequently to AU, who is closer in time and location to JP.
