I posted for almost a week every day a clip, teasing the physical release of Under the Island. I'm out of ideas for what to write about the clips. So tell me, what else could I have written to promote the physical release of (write it in the comments)? However, tomorrow it's out on Switch and PS5!

It was their closing comment in this interview they did with us. I got their answers to my questions days after PlayStation made their announcement regarding physical media, so it was clearly on their mind and not something I had asked about. gamersocialclub.ca/2026/07/13/d...

---but I still dumped those ps1/ps2 discs onto my home server, to prevent loss from happening.

Download is convenient at the moment of launch, and as long as it stays available for download, continuous play. That said, these last few years has proven how valuable a physical version is for the next 15-20 years at least, I still have my Ps1 discs from the 90's and they still work wonderfully--

So PlayStation decided to stop producing physical games in 2028. It's a dark day for collectors... I'm so happy Under the Island came out in a time in which it still will get a physical release on PlayStation and Switch... If you want to preorder it, it's possible at some online shops already.
