i finally found the opposite of the kc green "this is fine" dog

A simple cartoon dog sits on a throne in an ornate painting of heaven, surrounded by praying angels. At the top is "David Byrne" written in ornate calligraphy, while at the bottom, in simple font, it just says "uh-oh"

A film that takes place where you're from

From True Stories (1986): David Byrne and John Goodman walking through the North Park mall in Dallas. David is in a cowboy hat and pointing at something off screen.

I dunno how many of my followers here are local to Chicago but if you are my band Noiseland is doing a show next Friday at West Town Bikes! It's an extremely cool bill and we're gonna go about as hard as a bike shop will allow, which is pretty hard tbh.

Flier for "The Bad Luck Party", a show happening on December 13th, 2024 at West Town Bikes (2459 W. Division St). The doors are at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. The bands playing are The Hello Freaks, Seek Hell, Voice Memos, Noiseland, and King Sans. No cover but there is a $15 suggested donation, with all proceeds going to West Town Bikes and the Brave Space Alliance. The central image is a photoshop of four children in witch and party hats dancing around a pentagram.

engagement bait has been a thing since at least the myspace era, a noble social media tradition! Introduce yourself with: One book 📚 One movie 🎥 One album 💿 One TV show 📺

The cover of "actual air" by David Berman, two city buildings behind trees.

Movie poster for "Slacker" by Richard Linklater: Teresa Taylor in a t-shirt, sunglasses, and hat standing in front of a moire pattern.

The cover of Lonesome Crowded West by Modest Mouse, square windows of the tops of skyscrapers over a white background.

The opening title drop for The Adventures of Pete & Pete, a gnome in the grass with some dead leaves.
