Our hearts go out to the 7 Students Against Eacop supporters who have been held on remand for 20 days, denied bail twice, and denied visitors. All for peacefully marching at their parliament asking for what climate change scientists and the UN says must be done to save humanity.

On this Day for Truth and Reconciliation we share a treasure from the National Gallery on the naming of Nadia Myre's For Those Who Cannot Speak: the Land, the Water, the Animals and the Future Generations. There is a role for us all in reconciliation.

The title for Nadia Myre's artwork is inspired by the following statement read by a group of Algonquin Kokomisag (Grandmothers) on Parliament Hill on 11 January 2013: We join the voices of all our Relatives who are standing up and speaking for the land, water and future generations. We invite the Settlers to join us in this call to their governments. We demand that the Crown and all governments on Tutle Island start to behave in accordance with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Royal Proclamation, the Treaties and their own Consititution. All of the newcomer governments are in violation of all of these. This means respecting our cusstomary law and finally beginning to be in a relationship with Indigenous People which is respectful and honest. We make these demands on behalf of all those who cannot speak - the land, the water, the animals and the future generations. Their very survival depends on our success.
