college football is becoming more and more like the NFL, the problem is the NFL already has the market cornered with the best players in the world. 1 thing that would have prevented some of this was to stay regional. In many places outside the SE we already have a pro franchise to support.

It would be awesome to have playoff games say in Seattle, Eugene (I hate the ducks), Boise, or even on the off chance WSU has a good year and gets to host a game in Pullman in December. For that matter name a college town and it would be amazing to have a playoff game there.

I'll agree money has been being spent, but not necessarily by the schools it has been the boosters. Too be clear have no issue with players being paid, but it should be equal for all players and the stars can earn more in real endorsements.

So are you saying the FCS should drop from 32 and start having bowl games. Go ahead, enlighten me why this is the only level in college that would be ruined with 24 teams. FCS - 24 DII - 32 DIII - 40. Yet somehow at FBS if it goes to 24 it would be the end of the world. The bowl games are useless

Montana st survived 16 games last year to win FCS and they aren't even paid as much and the FBS players. I am sure their fans hated the extra 3 games they were able to attend at their home stadium. Guessing Bozeman and the university were able to make more money. Bowl would hate not having games

The problem is the bowl games, we would all be fine if it was 24 or 32 and there were no bowl games. In fact as fans we would all probably enjoy it more. ESPN however loves the bowl games because they get great ratings every day for a month. This is about ESPN and bowls wanting to keep theirs

This is comical whether you like the idea of expanding the playoffs or not. Size of the playoff isn't going to be what destroys college football, it is the uncontrolled money being spent by the schools trying to keep players. is about ESPN wanting control. Every other level has 24 and they survive
