Fact is that this is the annual global #glacier mass loss in 2023 was -540 gigatons (Gt). See gain (blue) and loss (red) below. Data source: C3S/ECMWF/WGMS This is -540 billion tons❗️ This is 360 times the annual water need of NYC, and nearly 3 times the need of entire Germany 🇩🇪 ‼️

Lothar König (1954-2024) war ein evan. Pfarrer und bedeutende Persönlichkeit im Kampf gegen Rechtsextremismus in 🇩🇪. Als langjähriger Stadtjugendpfarrer in Jena prägte er die Stadt und ihre Jugendarbeit maßgeblich. Nur wenige Menschen werden der Welt und dem was wichtig ist, so gewahr wie er.

Wichtiger Nachtrag: In Jena wurde zu Weihnachten wieder dieses fantastische Grippenspiel aufgebaut. In diesem Jahr wurde der Pfarrer, Jugendarbeiter und Aktivist Lothar König aus Jena als einer der drei Könige hinzugefügt. Die Ikone Lothar König ist leider 2024 verstorben.

If someone in photonics found a good prompt to get a realistic 3D render of a “a single glass fiber tip” from an AI tool, please let me know. This is as good as it gets with me. Here, I used Dalle-3 and explicitly said already “no fiber bundles”. It seems to need a lecture on fiber design first. 👨‍🏫
