I finally went outside again! Depression has been on my ass recently so I've been minimizing my time outside. But, this was a nice break from being inside. Nature preserves are my tied for my favorite place with my back yard. They're all over the place, I recommend visiting one.

One of my favorite scenes in a forest. Mostly bare trees outside of the crown as far as the eye can see.

A lake covered by trees from both sides. On the further end, very green trees, on the other hand, close to where I was there are bare trees sparsley dotted along the shoreline.

A pond, that I believe is manmade. The pond is rather dried up, by despite that, it's very beautiful. There are mossy rocks on the leftside, it's rather reminicent of a bed.

The aforementioned lake, there are geese there! There are two trees, a larger and a significantly smaller one. On the larger tree, there is a turtle that is out of view on one of its branches.

Pictures are finally back, but I still plan on getting a better phone for pictures. Or getting a professional camera. This is gochujang tofu, which you're probably familar with if you're vegan. It's great for a midnight snack as its quick to make. It also pairs extremely well with avacado.

I made a raspberry cheesecake while watching @demonmama.com and @riverboatjack.bsky.social ack.bsky.social! This was my first time having a cheesecake since going vegan. If you haven't picked up on it yet, every single thing that I make is vegan, if you'd like recipes for anything, you can just ask!

I made pasta alla norma today, it came out really well! It was my first time trying eggplant so I was nervous, but that nervousness was unwarranted. Eggplant is really good, better than I expected it to be. Made while watching @riverboatjack.bsky.social

I spent two hours outside with the birds today, I really enjoyed my time with them. Mocha jumped onto my hand and then sat on my leg for an hour, it was a wonderful experience! For the first time since they grew up, all of them ate out of my hand.

This is Mocha! She is my favorite, she is so friendly, she jumped on my hand, so I put her on my leg and she sat there for an hour.

King, the golden Sebright (closest), and Sonic, the Serrama (furthest)

King, the rooster, and Aurellia, the hen. Both are Golden Sebrights.

I went outside yesterday, I got some nice pictures of the birds! The time of day was perfect for pictures. I really enjoy spending time with the chickens, however, the turkeys will follow you around a peck at you constantly lol, and their pecks hurt a lot. I still love them dearly though

I spent about 2 hours outside with the birds tonight, sadly it got dark 30 or so minutes after I went out so I couldn't get many pictures. Their names are in the alt text. Quacy and Brownie were chased away by the other ducks.

Her name is Little Red, the daughter of Big Red. Her feathers are stunning

Ducks are killed at around 7 weeks old. This is my Pekin duck, she's the same type of duck that is used in factory farming. This is her at 6 weeks old. In the second picture, she is next to a fully grown Indian running duck that's about 2 years old. That's what breeding has done to growth rates.

I found a kitten! It was extremely malnourished, I gave it some food and water but it was scared away by my turkey. I will be trying to get it used to me so I can take it to a vet to make sure it's doing well, and if it likes me, I'd like to adopt it!

I made Harira while watching @riverboatjack.bsky.social! It's the national dish of Morroco, but it's also often made in Algeria. This time, I used my recipe as I wanted to try doing an adaptation. It was packed with flavor, when I say packed with flavor, I fucking mean it! Made on World Vegan Day!

This is Aurellia, her name means gold. She's a Golden Sebright and she's about 4 months old. She's very friendly, and she's also extremely stunning, especially in person, particularly as the sun is going down.

This is Mocha, she's a silkie! She's very calm, she sat on my lap for about 20 minutes and showed no interest in getting up.
