One never knows what'll turn up when rototilling, especially new ground. Yesterday while tilling at max. depth, I turned up this horseshoe. Rototiller is undamaged, yay! This could have been from 50 years ago or 150. I hope the horse and rider were OK.

I soldered a couple of connections to a little air pump today. 1. I need more workbench space! (I had to hunt for my iron.) 2. Soldering has changed since I first learned it with my dad's wood-handled soldering iron in the 1970s!! 3. I put a tape reminder (360+ deg. C) on the pinecil iron (right.)

An old-school soldering iron, vintage ~1950s, much like the one I inherited from my dad and started using in the 1970s. Massive wattage and no closed-loop temperature control.

My new pinecil soldering iron with a spiffy display, temperature sensing+control, and more options than I can possibly deal with!
