What a gorgeous shot. Not many directors today are making movies this beautiful. My favorite movie of the year.

Oh man. That first one is a gut punch.

Might I suggest you do not binge through? Watch no more than one episode every day or two.

Arbor Day: Root of Evil…a tree loving slasher! A lumbering miss. Stream…great kills, meh writing. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains…underdeveloped story of a teen rock star hero. Carrie… “They’re all going to laugh at you!” #letterboxdFriday #lastfourwatched #filmsky #HorrorSky

I really enjoyed it. I thought it would get tedious after a bit but it never did.

One of these things is not like the other. Resident Evil: fun survival horror! Night of the Demons: fun 80s teens and demons party horror! Dekalog VI: an introspective look at loneliness and obsession. Street Trash: fun people melting horror! #letterboxdFriday #lastfourwatched #filmsky #HorrorSky

A pair of Kubricks sandwiched between a House and a Dead End. House is a cult classic masterpiece. Dead End is a fun little gem. Kubrick is Kubrick. #letterboxdFriday #lastfourwatched #letterboxd #filmsky #HorrorSky #Horror #MovieSky

If you were to proclaim that this is the most beautifully photographed movie ever, I would not disagree. #NowWatching In the Mood for Love (Hong Kong, 2000) Directed by Wong Kar Wai #FilmSky #CriterionChannel #MovieSky

Lol, those kids at the end of Bay of Blood. Amazing. The House of Exorcism is a recut Lisa and the Devil with additional possession footage. It’s an over the top campy ripoff of The Exorcist but I loved it.

My favorite in the trilogy

Three gloriously 70s horror movies. One gloriously retro 70s horror movie. I love the color scheme of this week’s movie posters. #letterboxdFriday #lastfourwatched #letterboxd #filmsky #HorrorSky #Horror #MovieSky

One of the greatest joys of being a film lover is discovering an obscure masterpiece. Better yet, discovering it on the big screen. I did that today with the great Czech movie Marketa Lazarová. See it if you can. My jaw is on the floor. #MovieSky #FilmSky

Isabelle Huppert is the vampiric Elizabeth Báthory in THE BLOOD COUNTESS. Releasing Spring 2027. Báthory awakens from a centuries-long slumber and sets out across Vienna with her devoted maid in search of a mysterious book capable of destroying her.

Oh my. Sounds like a spiritual sequel to the great Daughters of Darkness. Isabelle Huppert is one of the few people in the world who can follow in the shoes of the iconic Delphine Seyrig.

I feel like he hasn’t evolved. Like he’s stuck in some kind of juvenile arrested development. I liked his stuff a lot more when I was younger, but as I aged, I found his work less and less interesting. I’ll always have a soft spot for his 90s era, but I really don’t care about any future work.

Just finished part one and was floored. Part two tomorrow as I need to let this one process a bit.

I miss the Ziegfeld. I saw The Age of Innocence there and had to sit in the front row because it was so full.

24 Hour Party People: a blast! Mother of Tears: a weak finale for a trilogy that starts with a masterpiece. Cape Fear: great performances, weak ending. Opera: giallo greatness. #letterboxdFriday #lastfourwatched #letterboxd #filmsky #HorrorSky #Horror #MovieSky

In Rome, there are plenty of must-see sites to visit such as The Colosseum or The Pantheon or The Spanish Steps. But for horror fans, specifically fans of Italian horror, there is one hidden gem of a place that is truly must-see… The Profondo Rosso shop/museum. #Horror #HorrorSky #DarioArgento
