Some stuff came up today and I won’t be able to stream work! Offline again today for now everyone 🙏 I think I’m gonna need to reconsider my schedule carefully for next week, life is busy busy 😵‍💫

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

Otsulappy! Did mainly style experimentation today on Estelle lmao I think I have a style in mind that I seem to like (upper righthand corner), maybe I should hone in on that. Just need to find artists who have similar style so I can study them ><

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

Holy moly I didn’t think that doing fanart would be THAT attention grabbing on X, I haven’t had that much traction on a post in a looong time! Plus, it breaks all the expected algo rules too. It had hashtags and a link. Idk how to play this algo game anymore lmao

My lunch is taking WAY too long to prep, so I might consider cancelling today's work stream and just work on it offline instead everyone 😰 terribly sorry about this! My client can expect some updates at the end of the day, though! Ganbarimasu >_<)9

I spent WAY too long on this, but I finished the FourthWall article that complements our lesson from earlier today! So for those of you (like me) who'd rather read than watch a video, if you become a Student of mine you can read this article! #art #digitalart #artlesson #arttutorial #tutorial

Otsulappy everyone! For everyone's convenience, timestamps with contextual tags have been added to the comments of the VOD by yours truly! It'll take some time to write up the summary of the lesson, so please expect it within the week on FourthWall for the Student tier members!

I apologize to my clients who are still waiting on their commissions, I’ll get back to them as soon as I can. I know I’m slow, but steady, so I hope you can still rely on me to finish everything!! 🙇

Unfortunately I think I’m more sick and tired today than I was yesterday due to my coughing keeping me up, so no work stream today 😓 I’ll spend the day resting and sleeping. My cough/colds/post nasal drip is getting better, just really slowly! 😵‍💫

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

Unfortunately a lot of the artists I knew I’m not really close with anymore or they’re no longer active 😓 but yeah, feedback is hard to come by, especially the higher up the skill ladder you go. Highly skilled artists tend to be more unavailable esp the more successful they are 😅

140

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

TLDR I WANT A SEASONED ARTIST WHO SPECIALIZES IN PAINTERLY STYLIZED ART WITH GREAT COLOR UNDERSTANDING AND TEXTURING WHO ALSO KNOWS MATTE PAINTING TO ADOPT ME AND LET ME BE THEIR UNDERSTUDY UEE UUEEEEEE 😭😭😭😭 for now I'll quietly study art streams and speedpaints by myself...

1100

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

want to give feedback and people only post their works to be seen. The ones that are pretty active are... too edgy for me... And then there are courses which still kinda lack the communication aspect, and usually the ones of the skill level I'm looking for are far out of budget (3/3)

160

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

(rather than being the head of a community) to help me direct my art or some sort of mentor, but nowadays it feels like talking to each other is somehow discouraged? That and I'm still shy lol I've been looking for an art Discord that promotes critique, but no one seems to (2/3)

150

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

I remember back in the day I had a bunch of art mutuals on old dA, stumbling into eachothers' work via groups or profile hopping. We'd encourage each other to draw and learn more Now that I'm trying to learn art again I do feel kinda lost and I wanted some sense of community (1/3)

1140

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

My partner says that the shapes and lines of my current art are a lot more defined and confident now ☺️ and that I hide behind the bloom a lot less I do suppose that’s a good thing, diffusion/bloom can be added on afterwards anyway

010

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

Aww thank you!!💖 But please don’t explode, we still have to see Tataru again in the next expac!! ><

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

Also I can't find my favorite pen that I used to use in the left doodle!!! If anyone knows a CSP pen that looks like it I'd really appreciate if you'd share it!!! 😭😭😭

030

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

30 min self study-- I always loved this Tataru doodle I did years ago and is kinda my current goal post for getting back to a certain quality, so I tried to redraw it without eyedropping colors I think the current varied color shadows are more interesting to look at, but hmm... #FFXIVArt #FF14イラスト

On the side, I've been working on a "non-XIV" version of Anju (her design's already pretty non-canon anyway) that I may use as promotional art! Making her more like an OC that I could use anywhere else, basically. #LapynneWIP #OC

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

Imo it’s mainly a matter of understanding form and volume! I’m not quite there yet, I think people who do it well are definitely in the masters level so I have a long way to go hahaha

020

Lapynne 👾 Post HeWo CoMet Clarity @lapynne.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

y'know.... since i just rendered the head so far today i suppose i can share this WIP here!!! I like the upper half of the hair, very well defined volume but I can't seem to replicate well with the bottom half of the hair? Maybe it's bec it's wispy and layered...? #WIP #LapynneArt

I think the original one encapsulates the "pog" emote better, but I can see my improvement in terms of eyeballing color values! (Also bonus no-year-text version for BSky!)
