last night was the nicest and most safest I've felt in a long time. pure, gentle relaxing with a good friend, watching a movie while being all sleepy... for some it may seem silly to sleep during a movie... but for someone like me who has been trembling, it's been such a gift to just feel ok.

When I shared how this made me feel, one of the individuals that I was closest to just blocked me. Again, someone I thought I could trust just practically eliminated me from their life because I wanted my feelings to be also considered, instead of only theirs. Isn't that what friends do?

I've recently reached out pretty hard to people that I thought shared a lot of similar feelings and interests with myself, only to be met with inconsiderate behavior. Folks who I thought were my friends would set dates to hang out, ignore me, then cancel, and I felt confused and alienated.

I don't know why I have such thick walls but it seems like every once in a while I find someone that I either reach out of my comfort zone to befriend, or someone tries to break down my walls themselves These friendships are unpredictable, which is hard when all I crave is safety in a relationship.

Making friends isn't the hard part for me, it's finding people worthy of my time. Not to be a prude, but I'm very picky with who I share myself with. I can connect with anyone, but to truly be comfortable with someone they have to exhibit certain traits. I have a very tough time fully connecting.
