iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I am completely out of the loop on this, can someone give me the summery? I've randomly been told a lot of big name feral artists are, or are getting, banned? I don't really like watching dramatubers, and it seems like the information in those videos might not be reliable 100% anyhow.

Seems to be tied to the moral panic regarding adult content, which has also swept up so many other things in its wake as its shown its true face. Many artists have lost platforms, try to help if you can in making sure those that are left still around!

I don't know, it could be a recycled account or the account of whoever helped make and maintain it jointly-running it. As you said it seems like an odd joke to make, if it is a joke. It could be some kink thing, but that would still be a little odd for a site admin's profile page.

I was looking through the profiles of the janis that approved or deleted posts, and one of them - Cinder - is an ai chatbot that is also a site admin and janitor. e621.net/users/160505

120

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I made a thread on what happened to me. An issue with them just pointing to the quality standards rule is that it is vague enough to allow pretty much everything and anything to be deleted or approved on a whim. There is also an ai serving as an admin/jani for some reason.

Improved enough to be approved* Damn having to tweak things to fit character limits. lol

001

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Instead of frustrating myself and the janitors by continuing to upload, I think I'll ask if anyone has an alternative that is willing to help me share my art with an active community. Right now I upload to bluesky and my Furaffinity, but I'd like to expand my audience and reach!

110

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I had prior asked the community and, as predicted, it became a game of simply pointing out everything and speculating. None were seemingly the reason. The minimum quality standards rules are also unhelpful in trying to figure it out, and also contradict what is up on the site itself.

110

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

It is frustrating to not be able to use a site that everyone else is able to use for an unknown reason. Again, I'm not arguing my art is perfect, or that there aren't things I could've done better - simply that having a reason would be nice and facilitate improvement in that specific thing.

110

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

This isn't meant as a dig at the janitors, who are volunteers. However, I am at a complete loss as to what I could've done here to fail to meet the standards set by the site, and what past artwork that was approved (nothing past a certain point was approved).

110

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I know there are hundreds of things I could've done better when drawing this, and I am not sure which one would have resulted in it being improved. Mostly because the e621 janitors did not disclose what was wrong with past deletions, nor this one.

210

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

So I decided to upload this to e621 to get more exposure, despite some of my past things getting removed for 'does not meet minimum quality standards'. I never got an explanation, but assumed that it was just simply all the things I could've done better. And:

Absolutely, its this type of puritanism and moral panic that led to itch - which I relied on for quite a bit of income - to purge several games (starting with nsfw and expanding). People in positions of power utilizing hyperbole and fear to garner more power.

Also, as an aside...What??? OWO?????

120

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

This is a sensationalist slop article meant to try to incite a false sense of threat from a harmless community. The article talks more about random reddit posts than Hope Flynn, who they cite as giving this alleged 'warning'. This outlet isn't known for responsibility, but this happens across media.

120

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

You'd think based on the wording of the title this was mass cannibalism in the streets of the UK with people eating one another for the gratification. However, reading further in the article, there is no 'warning'. instead the person they cite says people should be open and communicate.

120

NalDev @lapsa.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

I haven't made commentary on something like this in a while, since I want this to primarily be an art account - but its reporting and 'news' like this which cause fake moral panics and outrage targeted at art communities and at kink communities in general.
