I was gifted a pack of expired momofuku branded noodles (because noodles don't go bad), and it turns out that the noodles are a scam - this is just individually packed white noodles. For $11 you can get 5 individual packs, or 5# of bulk noodles. Maybe the cost is in the sauce?

Dropping an eating utensil on the ground signifies that a visitor is on the way. Whether the visitor is male or female depend on the utensil: a fork signifies a male visitor will be in your presence while a spoon means female.

2) shredded potato slaw /醋溜土豆. Shredded potatoes, blanched in hot water for around 1 minute (so they don't taste raw), immediately drained and cooled, then seasoned with salt/sugar/vinegar/scallion oil, with some red peppers for color garnish. Crunchy, delicious, would make again and again

Making potatoes different ways to get rid of the 15 potatoes in the house I bought before Christmas: 1) fondant potatoes. They look great, but taste just like my parents' stewed chicken and potatoes. Considering fondant potatoes is chicken stock and potatoes, no surprises?
