FUN ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT POST! In Hunt for the Eternal Vibe will be published on June 27th! While maybe not actually, spiritually this is the first Lantern Lens album to me as it represents what I want my 'main' music to sound like. I'm very proud of what I recorded here and I'm excited to release it!

snowy mountain scene with a town and dry field in front of it on a sunny day

trees with autumn-colored leaved under a cloudy, blue sky

pear tree blossoming in a backyard with a cloud enrobed mountain in the background

text reading “I think the purpose of life is to find happiness, to find those few true, enveloping pockets of sunshine that keeps your core warm. It is, quite plainly, essential. Happiness is the substance that melts into your blood and turns it golden. It is the spirit that paints your vision a lively shade and douses your limbs with electricity. You drink it and are overcome with a fullness as it fizzes little ecstasies. Happiness is the one truth worth following. Happiness is the only god of many crawling this earth that is worth praise.”

Considering the continued criminalization of masks, rampant spread of covid & other viruses (amidst erosion of vaccine access), dangerous AQI from wildfires, increasing state surveillance, & persistent use of chemical weapons by cops, now is a great time to commit to masking again if you've stopped.

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind. An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one." The other said, "Take him anyway." So they did.

Wilmer only found out his son had been detained after receiving a phone call on March 15 from his nephew, Luis, who lives with them. That morning was their last time together; they had gone around the corner to do their laundry. Later that day, Wilmer said that his son met with a friend to get help with some errands at the American Red Cross. He learned this from Luis, who looked at the situation from inside the apartment: when his son was on his way back, just steps from his home when ICE agents stopped him. “The officers grabbed him and two other boys right at the entrance to our building. One said, ‘No, he’s not the one,’ like they were looking for someone else. But the other said, ‘Take him anyway.'”

That moment marked the beginning of Wilmer’s search for answers — answers he’s still waiting for.

Israel is using GBU-43/B bombs, known as the "Mother of All Bombs", in its attacks on Gaza. This is one of the most powerful non-nuclear bombs in the U.S. arsenal, weighing around 11 tons, designed to destroy everything — above and below ground.

Alt Text (English):
A still image from a video shows a bomb mid-air, falling toward a densely populated urban area in Gaza. The bomb is circled in green to highlight its position in the sky. Surrounding buildings appear damaged, and a few people can be seen near the bottom of the frame, unaware or fleeing. The image captures a moment just seconds before impact.
