Official (draft 1) blurb for Laniakea! Act 1 of the novel is sufficiently developed to where I doubt things will change much from this point, but do note that the story is still a WIP! (Artwork by @ekvitki.bsky.social)

Laniakea's official blurb:

It has been five hundred years since humanity fled the dying Earth aboard the last wave of Arks. Now, against all odds, a signal has reached the Nova System—a trans-mission from the first Ark ever launched: landing successful.
The Federal Republics of Palae turns to the independent destroyer Cygnus, crewed by four people who never expected to be summoned by the system’s great powers again. Leading them is Apollo Aldrich – war veteran, independent captain, and the last man who wants anything to do with Palae’s politics.
But the President’s summons is absolute. Their mission: cross THE SHIFT, a gateway to a vast and tangled web of unknown systems and find the descendants of the pioneers of Seiryu.
Yet, as Cygnus enters the dark beyond the gate, something begins to wake beside them—something that remembers Apollo.
Whatever erased the settlers of Seiryu is not gone.
And the greatest threat may not be what waits on a dead world… but the one thing that’s been quietly following them all along.

Most of what I post here will probably be singular artwork commissions and writing milestones, but I do the majority of promotions on Instagram!

I'm still working on draft 1 of the novel, so I have time to figure stuff out, though. I'll be certain to update on progress for the novel as time goes on! I do also post lore drops, preludes, and more on my socials as bonus content :)

As for where to find it when it's finished, I'm not 100% certain on the route I'll take. While I do lean towards traditional publishing, the cut of the revenue I'll actually receive on that route irks me... On the other hand, I lose a lot of advertising going with self-publishing

Hi there! I'm the writer of the WIP Laniakea (the novel). In short, Laniakea is a hard sci-fi psychological horror following the crew of the independent destroyer Cygnus on their mission to explore a system beyond The Shift! I hope to publish a longer 'blurb' for the book on my socials soon!
