Today's Fun Fact! These are condensation trails from plane engines. Combustion creates water, which freezes into ice crystals when it expands rapidly high in the atmosphere. Trails of ice look like clouds following the plane. Depending on atmospheric conditions, they may disappear quickly or linger.
