So this is just all kinds of wrong, isn't it? I think the Trasasaur can fly because I'm using Penzin's "global position" for it's tracking behavior. So I know that's wrong, but I haven't figured out yet what to use instead. Any help? #gamedev #indiedev #oc #wip #godot

Part of the fun of doing game animations is figuring out just how few frames you can get away with. You're allowed to be lazy! The old head in me extra likes it because it gives nice SNES era vibes even though this isn't really pixel art. #gamedev #indiedev #oc #wip #godot

Alright I figured out how to record footage and convert it into a gif and I only needed to download two new softwares for that. I never considered myself a technical person so I'm quite happy I got this far already. Godot is quite fun to work with! #gamedev #indiedev #wip #godot

I haven't really shown a clear picture yet of which types are going to be featured in Land of Ur. Each type beats the following two ones. So Arcane beats Bolt and Cyclone, Bolt beats Cyclone and Deep Blue and so on. No need for a type chart! #gamedev #indiedev #art #oc

Roly Poly!! It's my favorite monster from Chrono Trigger. The whole mechanic where the imps could ride them, but you still had to target and kill them separately was so impressive to me. Square Enix didn't have to add that, but they did. #art #illustration #gaming #JRPG

I finished the side walk-cycles for these lil critters. You will find them struttin all over our gameworld. Once you get hitboxed the true monster gets revealed. They're simple shapes but it was still hard to animate. I'm no pro so they pretty floaty in places. Tips welcome! #gamedev #indiedev #art

Aqualgo is a wetland dwelling Ur monster. It evolves from Loofal. The former is based on Allosaurus and Baryonix, the latter is based on Dilophosaurus. He's an older design so I don't have that many quality sketches to show of his conception. #gamedev #art #conceptart #illustration #oc #paleoart

As a kid, during the jurassic park craze I used to have a Dilophosaurus toy which could shoot water out of it's mouth. Then when the pokemon craze hit, it got repurposed as a water type pokemon together with a whole other bunch of toy animals we had. #gamedev #art #conceptart #illustration #oc

This is Dolmok. The design is a mash up between a Paraceratherium (biggest land mammal ever) and the famous Brachiosaurus. It roams a big canyon filled with toxic fumes. It sticks out it's head above to breathe. Like a whale, it's nostrils are on top. #gamedev #art #illustration #conceptart #manga

Makaras can be found in rivers and lakes in the land of Ur. It's based on the actual mythological Makara from India and Sri Lanka, which ranges from elephant with a fish tail to crocodile with a peacock tail. It serves as a guardian to temples. #gamedev #indiedev #art #conceptart #illustration
