5-5 "rust and moss" this is the most realistic depiction of how nature reclaims things, and there is beauty in realism. After the more figurative metaphors I wanted to have a depiction of nature doing it's job as it realistically does #nature #art #sculpture #environmentalism #mixedmedia

moss is glues onto the relief of industrial materials and its painted to look rusty

4-5 "mold" with this one I wanted to make the industrial base moldy, as if it was organic matter. although not something that literally happens, it is something that happens in essence as nature's clean up crew works on reclaiming it's territory #nature #art #sculpture #environmentalism #mixedmedia

3-5 "cells" with this piece I wanted to depict nature from a cellular level, paying an homage to my other passion as a scientist. Nature is strong in so many ways, even from the microscale. We can only try to mimic a fraction of the intricacies that nature has built. #art #sculpture #nature

2-5 "forest clearing" looking up at the forest grown all around you, feeling the might of nature as it surrounds the clearing you lay in. Nature is powerful, and it will prevail #art #sculpture #nature #mixedmedia #environmentalism

1-5 "Sunset" The sky is one of the most beautiful parts of nature, it overhangs everything, even the most ugly of man's creations. The set of reliefs start off with something of a macroscale #art #sculpture #mixedmedia #nature #environmentalism

"nature reclaims" Is a set of five reliefs that disscuss how nature reclaims man-made structures and how nature heals damage. The surfacing of the plaster reliefs contrast with the industrial base in different ways. Photos of the individual works are posted separately #art #sculpture #reliefs

"Me!" is a self portrait assemblage and collage piece inspired by artists like Fred Tomaselli and David Altmejd. This is meant as an homage to my life and artistic journey #art #collage #assemblage #selfportrait #mixedmedia

I find myself observing life from a very miniature scale, I'm very detail oriented, and I like the microworld. Here are some photos I took from my handheld microscope that hopefully inspire you as much as they did for me! #photography #microscopic #lichen #moss #nature

"Can you feel her pain?" This piece tries to tackle humanity's destruction towards nature. The materials I chose reflect these themes, the 3D printed plastic drill brutally destroying the center of the paper orchid flower. #art #sculpture #nature

"Common stink horn mushroom" Wood sculpture. Why are we as humans so weird about this aspect that nature puts forth so bluntly in the form of this delightful fungi? #art #sculpture #mushroom #fungi #woodsculpture

Today, I was depressed and felt like I was dripping black goo, so I drew this quick drawing to capture the emotion I felt in the moment #art #ventart #digitalart #depression
